Vickie ran off to her apartment. She had made her plans to expose Maxwell, whether by hook or by crook, and whatever it would cost her. The money mentioned for whoever has information about John's case is too huge for her to leave behind. If she has to ever lose something, then it should be Maxwell and not the money involved. She knows the governor doesn't go back on his word.

She woke up early in the morning and dressed herself in her black hoodie and sport shoes. She pulled her hair down a bit to cover the scars on her face. A whopping $500,000 would change her life for the better. She picked up her bag and strapped it over her shoulders. With a little ache on her arm, she held the arm, applying a little pressure to it.

“Damn!” She screamed and recalled that she still had a good number of medications to take to alleviate the pain.

The moment she got out, she boarded a taxi straight to the governor's office. A lady welcomed her at the reception with a smile.
