Chapter 133

Athena walked into the house as if she had seen a ghost. Her eyes were already swollen from crying so hard in the cab. She opened the front door and went into the living room.

Her mother was sitting, leg crossed, on the table, but when she saw Athena walk in with her shoulders drooping, she sprang up to her feet. In her mind, Sabastian had done something bad to her daughter. She rushed forward and held her by the arm.

"Athena, what is wrong? Why do you walk like you saw a ghost? She asked, but Athena didn't answer.

She held her close to her and gave her a warm hug. Athena rested her head on her mother's shoulders and began to cry uncontrollably.

“I don't know what it is that's making you this sad, but I am sorry, Athena; everything will be fine." She rubbed her back and spoke like a good mother should.

She hugged her tight and squeezed her into her body while Athena kept weeping like a child.

“He lied to me, mother?” Athena finally spoke the words as she sniffed and sulked.
