Chapter 86

I stood, inhaling every breath that wafted past my nostrils. I took a deep breath and shook my head.

"C'mon, man, get yourself together." Zander said, patting Maxwell on the back. Max grabbed his glasses and headed out.

The trucks were set. Two were loaded with guns. The men called in to make sure we were on the right track.

Carlos knows the city; his men are everywhere. We walked out of the building and hopped into the trucks. Mancho was rougher with the truck than the Bentley we had used some days ago. He galloped in and out of the rocky road. In about forty-five minutes, we drove to the house Zander had shown me in the photograph.

I smiled. An old car stood messily in front of the building. We got straight into the house and surveyed the place. Zander burst the door open with one jab. We trooped in. Searching the entire house, from the sitting room down to the rooms upstairs. But we didn't find anything.

"He's smart, huh?" Zander said he adjusted his hat and called on us to follow
