"Kids?". Maxwell finally gathered the courage to ask. He continued to wipe the wine off his body.

"Yes, your own kids, or aren't you supposed to make kids?" Zander asked, staring from Maxwell to his father. He needed approval, an answer, or something.

Maxwell swallowed hard. In his mind, he knows that was not part of the plan; that was not part of the bargain. His futile goal now is to protect Athena and make her family realize her worth and importance.

Get his revenge on those he wants revenge on, and that's it. A life after should be more focused on work and making those around him happy.
