Chapter 109

he streetlights that illuminated New York City had been replaced by sunlight. Riko blinked her heavy eyes. She rubbed her eyes a little roughly, in order to move her eyelids.

The window of her room was open, as she forgot to close it last night. The blowing wind made the curtain clock drift with the direction of the wind.

"Huh... what time is it?" Riko asked herself. She could barely fall back asleep last night, and could only lie on the bed with her body rolling to the right and left.

After waking up completely, Riko got out of bed to take a shower. Before that, she stepped towards the window that was still wide open.

Turning her head downward, the noise was deafening. The sound of car horns honking at each other made her sigh.

"Riko!"

"I-iiya, hold on."
