Chapter 21 - Mystery Photo

Valerie treated the wound on his lip with a warm cloth at the dinner table.

"Does it still hurt?" Riko sat on the side.

Valerie was surprised, then looked away from the young man. "Go away. I don't want to see your face."

"I know you hate me even more now, but I have to take responsibility for hurting you. I'll take you to the hospital. Come on."

"No! I'm not going with you."

"But if your wound is not treated immediately, your lip can become infected." Riko persuaded with a worried look.

"I only ask one thing of you!" Valerie gave Riko a sharp look.

Riko is horrified to see Valerie's expression, which seems to want to pounce on her. "What's that?"

"As long as you stay in my house, stop acting crazy!"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't you ever talk about that imaginary creature of yours!" Valerie made her words clear.

Riko was silent. He was confused about what to answer while he lived in this house to catch that evil creature.
