Chapter 32 - Edward

Riko sat stunned in the garden behind the hospital. Since earlier, he had been thinking about what Morwen had said.

'Is it true that Morwen will soon be dead?' Riko spoke to himself. He needed clarification and direction.

"Riko!"

The young man turned to someone who hastily approached him. "Daddy!"

Riko jumped to her feet with a big smile. "Where's Morwen?"

Riko lowered down sadly. "He is being treated."

"Why are you suddenly sad, Riko? Has something bad happened to you?" Arthur asked worriedly.

Riko raised her head and looked at Arthur sadly. "I want to ask you something. Please answer honestly."

Arthur tensed up because Riko was acting so uncharacteristically. "What?"

"Is it true that I am the son of Morwen?"

Arthur was surprised by Riko's question. He was silent for a few moments.

"Why are you quiet, Dad?"

"Why are you asking me such stupid things, Riko?! Have you started believing that liar already?!" Arthur shouted in rage.
