Chapter 38 - Edward is The Culprit

The next morning.

Captain Calvin smoothed the collar of his uniform in front of the mirror. His face looked tense. His forehead creased deeply, showing an expression that held a lot of anxiety.

"I'll come with you."

Morwen gasped in surprise, then turned to the Window. "Morwen?"

Morwen sat at Captain Calvin's bedroom window.

"No. I'll go alone!" Captain Calvin said firmly. He didn't want Morwen to mess up the plans he had laid out since the night.

"I won't make a fuss."

"That's impossible. You can't control yourself when it comes to Riko. I already have a plan, so you just have to wait for information from me. If you cause trouble and Mr. Anthony finds out, you could be in trouble."

"I can erase everyone's memories."

"But not with Edward." Captain Calvin sneered sternly.

Morwen fell silent, unable to refute. Calvin is right. Edward did not work with his strength. "That's my reason for investigating that kid."

"Research what?"

"I have to know who he really is."
