Deal or not?

"Yes." His father replied. "Who else did you think would inherit all of my hard work, huh?"

Dustin was still staring in complete shock. All his?? Could his day get any better???

"Wow. I'm honored. I just dunno what to say...it's all...real?" He was staring at his dad with such shock, like if he stared too serious, his dad would disappear again.

"No. This is all real, my boy. Your mother would have been so proud of you." his dad said. He was so happy to reunite with his son again.

"Alright then. But first, we need to eat and you need a proper rest. So we can discuss your taking over. It's getting late anyway..."

"Dad, are you kidding me? I want to hear your plans now." The look on his face was very firm, one that did not accept any bargaining.

"Wow, you are still so stubborn as before." his dad teased. "Okay then, firstly, I need you to meet someone important. But she's a bit busy now, so I'll ask her to make plans this evening by maybe eight."

"Okay, dad."

"But first, you need to go for a quick shopping trip. Get only one or two new outfits, and a suit for your meeting tonight." His dad said.

"I can get people to get it for you, but I want you to go out there and see how it goes in the life of big men. You are, after all, a rich man now."

"Wow, thanks dad. It's still all like a dream to me." Dustin confessed.

"Then, we meet at eight. I'll text you the details ...or, of course you're a big boy now. You can handle the meeting with Alara. I have something else to do--"

"Who's that?"

"Oh, Alara is the person we're meeting. She's the manager of my company for now, so until you learn one or two from her, that's when you can take over."

"Matyrs motors? Wow. I didn't know it was handled by a woman."

"What's that supposed to mean? Alara is no ordinary woman. She's good in this field."

Dustin realized it was as if he'd been speaking low of a woman. He remembered how hardworking his own wife could get.

"I'm so sorry dad. It's just that, the company has been running so smoothly. I'm just really impressed by her work. That's all."

"Very well then. I'm sure once you're there too, you'll do very fine." His dad said.

"Here's her business card. Call her and set up this meeting." He handed Dustin a card. "Here's my cue to leave now. Vincent and Bobby will go with you.

"And remember, it's nice to leave a good impression wherever you go now. So be nice to people. You never know who your helpers will be."

"Remember, son, this is your company now. I'm passing all of it to you. The whole power is yours now, and I trust you to take responsibility for your actions." His father said at last.

Dustin got up and hugged his dad again, then went out to make a phone call. The lady Alara had replied in the most beautiful voice Dustin had ever heard.

"Let's meet at R&K restaurant. It's one of your father's restaurants too. I won't be late sir. Eight o'clock sharp."

There was a tone in her voice that seemed to be warning that he shouldn't be late as well.

Wait, R$K restaurant? That's one of the highest restaurants in town!

Before he had left, his dad gave him a card. Golden and shining like it was a heavenly object. The card was unlimited and as it was customized mainly for him.

He could get himself anything he wanted and even make online trading.

He held it tight, then the car was opened for him. It was a Matyr motor!

"Wow, this is so cool, and it's mine now," he thought to himself.

Bobby was driving and Vincent sat in front.

Minutes later, they arrived at a boutique, one of the best in the city. Owned by a retired model, and miss America for three years straight. She was also a popular actress.

Tracey's house of fashion. Everything they sold there was expensive and only for the rich. He couldn't believe he would easily walk in to get something for himself. Never in his wildest dreams!

His knees went weak and his chest beated fast the moment he stepped foot inside. But this was his lifestyle now and he should be used to it. He muttered his confidence and began to shop.

He was at a corner when the shutter of a phone clicked. "Gotcha! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw you walk in."

He turned to see a short woman with big eyes and full lips.

"Sandra?"

Sandra was a she-devil. She was a major part of the troubles that affected his marriage with Laura as she was her best friend.

"Ha! Have you come to beg in a place like this? Or steal even!"

"Please, Sandra. You've had your way and now, Laura has left me. You should be happy now, right? So get out of my sight."

"No way. I know you haven't come here with a good intention."

Vincent saw the commotion there and called Bobby. Then he said out loud, "is that woman bothering you, boss?"

"Boss!? Ha!" Sandra was laughing like hell.

"No need with the honorifics, Vincent. And I can handle this one." Dustin said quietly.

"I can hear you, moron!" Sandra said, pouting. "You can handle me?? Ha! In your dreams,"

Dustin rolled his eyes. "What exactly do you want?"

"For you to get lost. It's only someone like me and my beautiful friend, Laura that can enter such a grand place like this. You're a pauper and don't belong here!" her voice was getting loud now.

"Is there any fool who wants to hire this man as a cleaner? Please don't, because this place is too fancy for him," she was saying out loud.

"Shut up, Sandra. Before I do something you'll regret." Dustin warned. "Leave quietly now that I'm still in a jovial mood."

Could he finally place Sandra in her position? After all the mess she'd caused in his life! His marriage! His fist had curled up in a ball now.

"You amuse me, dustbin! That's right. Even your name is pronounced like trash."

"This is why my dear Laura deserves someone lovely like Tobin Conrad. Such a lovely man..."

Everything else Sanda said flew past Dustin's ears but at the mention of that name, Tobin Conrad, he knew Sandra had crossed her boundaries.

He remembered how he'd been embarrassed by that man. How he...how he had been sleeping with his wife! He would pay for what he'd done. Laura, his friends, everyone who had looked down on him.

"Are you still there, moron? You dropped your tongue!" Sandra's voice brought him back to reality.

"Okay then, smart mouth. Let's make a deal right here, right now." Dustin decided to have a little fun, to celebrate the night. Besides, people were already gathering now, and he would really like to teach Sandra a lesson.

"What is it, you pauper? Let's hear it."

"I am here to shop. I can pay for what I'm ordering. You however, what is someone like you doing here?" he said.

"But since I'm generous, I give you a chance to chase me out of here. If you fail to do so, you're going to sleep in jail tonight. Unless you have money to be granted a bail of course." Dustin said.

"And if I win? You'll be publicly humiliated. Also, you'll fall on your knees and lick my shoes, and maybe I won't throw you in jail. There's no one to grant your bail anyway." She stated.

"Deal."
