Revenge Plan.

After they'd ordered for a light dinner, Alara began to talk. She was a bold woman who didn't seem afraid of anything. Dustin liked that about her.

"I've been managing the company for years. The first thing I need you to know are your staff. We'll be heading to work by Monday for a proper introduction."

"That's good to hear."

"Also please sir, can you refer to me as miss Alara? To keep the formalities between us." She said so bluntly yet nicely.

A smile formed on Dustin's face. "Because you're scared we might get too close and begin to develop false feelings of some kind?"

Alara's frown remained on her face, but it was a harmless one. "I would just like us to remain formal with one another. Or you can try miss Dennis."

His eyes were fixed on her stern face and a helpless smile began to relax on his face again. He quickly shrugged it off.

"Alright then, miss Alara." He said.

Her phone buzzed and she frowned at the screen. "I get it that they're excited about getting help from us, but can't they just remain patient already! This so-called Conrad motors."

Dustin's ears were suddenly a little too attention at the mention of that name.

"What did you say? Conrad motors? As in, owned and managed by Tobin Conrad??" Dustin asked and waited eagerly for her reply.

"Of course sir, I know Tobin Conrad because we employed him." Alara said confidently.

"He works under us?" Dustin had to ask again, and she nodded.

"Five years ago, Tobin met with Matyrs motors, bringing a proposal. We sponsored him and made him the CEO of the firm. He's been flopping, and for some reason, your father still seem to like him a bit."

"So he didn't fire him. On the other hand, I never liked Tobin because he's too arrogant. Especially with the fact that he feels like he can sleep with any woman he pleases because he has money." Alara said, gritting her teeth.

Dustin was happy for once to hear Alara side with him. Tobin needed to pay for trying to steal his wife from him and ruining their marriage.

"So this means you can take everything away from him then." Dustin said with anger flaring in his eyes.

Alara's head tilted slightly to the left as if in thought. Or doubt. He wondered why.

"Well..." she said. "We can't just get rid of him that easily."

"Because my dad likes that bastard?" Dustin yelled out impatiently. He cleared his throat and relaxed his muscles seeing that Alara was glaring at him with suspicions.

She didn't know he was mad at Tobin because of the issue with his wife, and he felt she might think he's being childish if he confessed to her he wanted revenge on Tobin because he slept with his wife.

"I mean, he is basically supporting his business once again. Tobin should have been fired since but he's still getting backed up by your dad." Alara explained.

"But now he needs our help again? For what?"

"There's a contract for the repair of sales of Matyrs vehicles. There are about five hundred vehicles that have recently been purchased but need servicing. You know Dult drinks? They need our vehicles for delivery and such." Alara said.

"So he said he can handle the repair of all the vehicles, but I feel there's just too many problems with that." She said.

"Wait, can he? Does Conrad motors have that much space in their workshop?" Dustin asked.

"Nope. But he claims he can do it. He's very convincing. He said he'll handle the contract by making his technicians repair the vehicles in batches. He said some other convincing things but is now waiting for our approval for sponsorship."

"Hmm, but if he fails, he'll have no other choice but to resign. Right?"

Alara nodded. "But I think he knows some higher ups or so. He's too confident." Alara said.

It was this moment that Dustin remembered what his father said to him. He had the sole authority over his company now. And he has power as well!

"Alara, I'm going to get rid of Tobin. I have the power to do so!" He said, feeling more confident in himself.

Alara smiled. "Very well sir. This is good news."

"Well, I'll be introduced to the staff tomorrow morning, right?" Dustin asked.

"Tomorrow is Saturday, sir." Alara smiled. It just hit Dustin that she was even more pretty as her dimples he never noticed pierced. Her eyes shone with excitement and they were very pretty.

"Ah, so she smiles." Dustin ended up saying.

Alara folded her arms beneath her chest and leaned back in her seat. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"What? I said nothing." Dustin chuckled. He wanted to share the joke to her, tell her that he thought her smile was pretty. Tell her he loved her cheering up a little. But he found himself losing confidence to.

He was her boss but he found himself not wanting to upset her, so he kept quiet.

There was silence in the air. It was quite uncomfortable until he spoke again.

"Thanks for meeting me today." he met her gaze and flashed a contented grin at her. Their eyes met and for a short while, it was fixed. He was suddenly wondering where a woman like her had been all his life.

He wished he had met her first, and maybe Laura wouldn't have been part of his life.

She jumped up abruptly. "This meeting is over. We should head home now."

Dustin relaxed on his seat. "Sometimes I wonder who the boss is between us."

Alara's eyes widened and she fell back to her seat. "I-I'm sorry sir. Have I wronged you? I am so sorry--"

Dustin couldn't help but laugh at her being vulnerable. "You know with me, you don't have to raise your guard up. You can just be yourself."

Alara wondered why her new boss was speaking so kindly to her. Everyone she'd ever worked with were always so proud and full of themselves.

Dustin however, he was just...normal! He wanted to get to know her, to be better and treat her nicely.

"Thank you, sir. I'll remember your words."

"See, again with your bold verses. Just speak to me casually, at least for now when I'm still Dustin. At least until Monday, at work when I'm the CEO, huh?" Dustin said, waiting for her response as she was hesitant to speak.

At last, she raised her head up to meet his stern gaze.

"You are the new CEO. You're my boss. No matter what, you'll always be this high, and I'm here, below. You can never treat anyone so kindly if you want to be powerful and seek respect. We are not on the same level, sir. I'm sorry for ever speaking so low with you."

What? He didn't want her lectures! Was he...flirting with her after his wife just filed a divorce?? He felt silly now.

"No, Alara...actually, I was--"

"We'll see again on Monday morning, sir. Please, if this meeting is over--"

Dustin frowned. Maybe she was right. If he ever wanted to be powerful, maybe he needed to keep his head raised up high. He was rich now. He didn't have time for romance?

His expression was stern now. "Yes, you're free to leave."

Immediately, she gave a slight bow and walked out.

"Now it's just you and me, Tobin Conrad. I have no time for romance. I am a new man now." he said in his mind.
