“So you met my son and became friends? Conor isn't always that friendly to everyone.” Mr. Whales said as soon as they began to eat.

“Oh but that's where you're wrong. Conor was very nice to me even at first sight.” Dustin replied.

“Conor was nice to you? Ha. Guess you're right and I don't know my own boy anymore.” the older man said.

Conor looked down on his plate. He couldn't take it any longer. “He's right dad. You don't know your own son. But then,” he turned to meet Dustin's face, “my dad is also right.”

“What do you mean?” Alara asked, taking another bite from her chicken.

“I mean, I was rude to him. Very rude actually. And it was because he had a kind heart and he saved me from Ezra’s men that I became nice and sweet to him. Which in my defense, is wrong.” He said.

“That's not important right now. What is, is that you were able to bring me to your dad. You see, we have been really trying to connect with him, to meet with him for a long time now.” Dustin said, still sending side
