Summer's heart sank when the front desk clerk informed her that the booking number wasn't valid. She stood there, frozen for a moment; the shock was evident on her face.

Her hand, still clutching her phone, trembled slightly as she stared at the screen in disbelief. This can't be happening. She had been so confident, so sure that everything was in order, that she got the confirmation message on her phone.

Beside her, Robert’s loud and mocking laughter broke the silence. He doubled over, clutching his stomach as he sneered at Summer. “I told you it was an error earlier, Summer! You should have known better, never to cross paths with me. Now, pay up. I want my money.”

Summer’s face flushed with embarrassment and anger. She wasn’t the type to make mistakes like this, and the idea of handing over $100,000 to Robert made her blood boil.

But she wasn’t ready to give up. Not yet, not when she got the confirmation on her phone.

“There must be some mistake,” Summer insisted, her voice shaki

At that moment, recognizing the profound implications of Jason's demonstrated ability to instantly copy and master his most sophisticated assassination techniques, understanding that he was facing an opponent whose capabilities went far beyond conventional enhanced combat into realms of tactical adaptation that made prolonged engagement increasingly dangerous, the old man literally nodded with grim acknowledgment and spoke with the voice of someone who had finally comprehended the true nature of his adversary."I know exactly what you are now, and I have a complete understanding of what you are truly capable of accomplishing in combat situations," the old man declared with the tone of someone whose tactical analysis had reached definitive conclusions despite the disturbing implications. "So precisely because I know what you are capable of doing and what kind of enhanced being you actually represent, I am going to literally deploy completely different tactical approaches against you."

At that moment, hearing what the old man had just declared with such confident finality about Jason's inevitable end, hearing the detailed explanation of the tactical deception and strategic manipulation that had characterized the entire engagement up to this point, Jason responded with what could only be described as genuinely impressed acknowledgment mixed with his own tactical revelation.Jason literally smiled at the old man with an expression that showed authentic respect for sophisticated combat methodology and strategic thinking that had exceeded his initial assessment of what this elderly opponent might be capable of accomplishing against someone of his caliber."Well, I definitely didn't initially assess you as possessing this level of tactical sharpness and strategic sophistication," Jason admitted with the tone of someone whose professional evaluation was being revised based on superior performance than anticipated. "I genuinely thought that perhaps you must have become sig

  • CHAPTER 543

At that moment, hearing the old man's desperate final threat but recognizing that he had accomplished his primary objectives and demonstrated the futility of continued resistance, Jason made a pragmatic decision about how to conclude this engagement."Well, I want you to know that I am genuinely not in the mood to engage in combat with an elderly opponent, regardless of whatever enhanced capabilities you might possess," Jason said with casual dismissal, his tone suggesting that fighting the old man would be more tedious than challenging. His expression showed the kind of boredom that might be displayed by someone who had completed a task and was ready to move on to more interesting activities."Your entire organization has been comprehensively defeated, your elite warriors have been systematically destroyed, and your tactical capabilities have been proven completely inadequate," Jason continued matter-of-factly. "I see no compelling reason to extend this engagement further simply to s

"All of you! Every single one of my remaining bodyguards!" the old man commanded with urgent desperation that carried clearly over the continuing rumble of destruction. "Join this fight immediately with everything you have! Deploy all of your ultimate techniques simultaneously!"His voice became more frantic as he elaborated on the critical nature of their situation."I don't care what it costs us personally or organizationally - use your life force transformations, your death row attacks, whatever it takes!" the old man continued with growing panic. "We cannot allow this monster to survive!"His final command carried the weight of absolute authority and desperate fear."Make absolutely sure that this bastard doesn't leave this place alive! He must die here, right now, regardless of how many of you we have to sacrifice to accomplish that objective!"At that moment, upon hearing the desperate command that the old man had just delivered with such urgent panic and authority, upon process

  • CHAPTER 541

At that moment, hearing what Jason had just declared with such casual dismissiveness about their organization's fundamental combat capabilities, hearing him characterize their ultimate techniques and tremendous spiritual energy as essentially meaningless and tactically ineffective, the old man felt his jaw literally tighten with barely contained fury and humiliation. His weathered face showed expressions of rage that went beyond anything he had displayed throughout the entire engagement, because Jason's assessment struck at the very core of everything he had built over decades of organizational development and enhancement research. To have someone casually dismiss the combat methodologies and enhancement techniques that represented his life's work, to hear Jason suggest that all of their power and spiritual energy amounted to nothing more than wasted potential, was perhaps more insulting than any of the physical defeats his warriors had suffered. And the remaining four elite guards wh

  • CHAPTER 540

At that moment, witnessing his elite guard's preparation to deploy the death row attack sequence, the old man felt his jaw literally tighten with complex emotions that mixed tactical calculation with personal concern for one of his most valuable and experienced warriors.Even though he understood with complete clarity that activating the death row attack would definitely result in losing one of his absolute best men, even though the sacrifice would eliminate years of training, enhancement investment, and irreplaceable combat experience, his strategic mind recognized that this extreme measure represented the most logical tactical decision under the current circumstances. But on the other hand, weighing the costs and benefits of such a drastic escalation, the old man realized that he genuinely didn't mind losing one exceptional warrior if doing so would accomplish the primary mission objective while simultaneously preserving the lives and capabilities of his remaining four elite guards.
