He picked his phone, navigating to his most recent call log and dialing Kaylee’s number.

It rang until it stopped and she didn’t pick up. He tried it again and she didn’t pick.

He tried it again the third time and after what seemed to be forever she picked, her voice rather calm as she spoke.

“Nathan,” She said.

“Kaylee..” Nathan said, rather unsure of what to say.

“I didn’t pick up your initial calls because I wanted to get settled. I hate picking up calls when standing, or doing something. So I went to lay on my bed.”

“Alright, so you’re on on your bed as we speak. I guess you intend to talk for a long while.” Nathan said.

“Yeah, are you still busy?” Kaylee asked. “I mean, you can call me whenever you’re less busy.”

“No.. not like that. It’s just kind of amazing that you headed to your bed to speak to me,” Nathan said.

“Don’t let it get to your head. I do it for anyone I consider important.” Kaylee said.

“Exactly, that’s what I’m driving at,” Nathan said then chuckled
