ALLISHA'S POV
People screaming.People running.People stunned with fright.People fighting.People crying.Gasp of breaths. Heavy breaths.Weary and confused. What is happening?"Come on wake up! Prepare for your school," my mom shouted from the other room.Startled as always, I opened my eyes. Good thing, it was just a dream. A very bad dream. My so-called, surreal nightmare again.Quickly, I got up and prepared some breakfast. My father used to do this but I have to be used to it now since I was traine to." My duty as an elder." I whispered sleepily while stretching both my arms up then finished preparing our lunch boxes.I glanced over the clock and it was just time for my bath. My body was still aching. The feeling of tiredness enveloped me early in the morning.I felt dreadful. I didn't usually have dreams, but when I did, it always end up to be very tiring events.Tragedies!Seldom, I got to see series of usual happenings in my dreams, but I couldn't remember until it actually happens. But anyways, school time!I missed that crazy girl. Time to go!" Goodmorning beautiful!" one of my usual buddy greeted.I smiled back to him and found myself sitting next to this crazy creature grinning wickedly at me.She is one of the reason why I loved the idea of school. Actually, everything away from home is my reason. I could temporarily escape from my agonizing reality even for some hours to spare. The guy greeted me awhile ago, naughtily touched me by the shoulder before climbing up to the top of the jeepney. This jeepney was our vehicle service since last year." Stop it Thunder," I answerd slyly. But with a smile.Thunder's group of friends, as usual, started strumming the guitar and sang along like they were the only people existing. Never worrying what other people would say.I hope life could always be this way. Simple. Free.I put on my earphones and pretend to listen to some music, but the truth is, I am enjoying from their stories with my eyes closed and happily feeling the morning breeze while the jeepney tracks its way to school. The day went by so fast with only introductions done. I enjoyed the last hours of my escape before going back home again. The bell rang fifteen minutes ago for the last class dismissal of the day but I was left standing at the front of our room. Trees swayed by the cold air breeze of the dusking surrounding, I watched as three girls passed by happily chatting about their day while from the left side, the janitor swept the fallen dry leaves. The color of the sky played some spectacular show of lights in my eyes.As others would find this usual and amazing, I was shocked. I cant get a hold of what is actually happening. Barely moved from my spot, my mouth uttered words out of nowhere." I saw this. It happened already!"Every second of the moment. It's not that this is a new thing, but why does it keep on happening? And it's getting frequent." I knew it. Daydreaming again! Come on, it's half past five. Service won't be waiting."" Yes, coming!"My beautiful bestfriend swayed her way while listening to music. She is the prettiest girl I have known. Carefree, brave, loving, and crazy. She smiles as if there is nothing in this world that would make her depressed. She is one of my sources of strength. Not to mention, she is the only girl among the eight siblings. She is tough. She may be the youngest but she acts like as if she is just her older brothers' age.Silly!" Autumn, wait up!" I shouted." Faster, or we'll lose our seat," she shouted then fled without even thinking she's wearing a skirt. Our way home is as lively as ever. Thunder and his group strummed their hearts out. Filled with laughter, my heart is happy." Bye Rayz, see you tomorrow!" Autumun beamed as I jumped down form the service vehicle.Smile immediately faded away from my lips knowing that once again, I am going home.I reached the part where I usually stood and stay for a while to breathe. On the same spot, everytime on my way home, I would stare at our house from a distance and would look sideways to where the chapel is built and pray for morning to come fast.My father was teaching me to prepare for dinner. Cook, set the dining table, then clean after and wash dishes. I love having time with my father in the kitchen especially his jokes and his endless stories.Later that night after dinner, the four of them enjoyed a good talk on the veranda and prepared for bed. I love listening to four of them talk and laugh while I finish cleaning up the kitchen. Their smiles complete me. I can't help but to giggle. It was past midnight when I finished studying. I spent couple of minutes before drifting to sleep.I woke up gasping for air and looked at the clock on the desk to see that I was just asleep for an hour. I am heaving while the rain started pouring outside. With an instinct, I pulled out my diary under the left side of my bed and started to scibble words.' Dear Papa,God, thank you for this day. Thank you for taking good care of us. My parents, brothers, friends, relatives, teachers, and all the people in the world. Thank you for keeping us safe always.I have been dreaming of something about a war this past few nights. In my dream, I was fighting demons and what's worst was that, it was---you know, the devils of the devils. The creatures were horrifying. People were screaming and frightened. What was also crazy, demons were actually inside the church. Demons could enter church that scared people. They were collecting bibles and the last bible I am fighting for is mine. The scenario shifted at out house where I fought to death just to save that last bible. I couldn't remmeber what the bible looked like, it is blue though.I am with someone too but I couldn't recall it clearly.I am afraid Papa. What is happening? I have dreamt about it when I was in grade school. Why dream of it again?"What if the world is coming to an end? What should I do?AHm. It is raining again Papa. Please help my mom. Please make it stop. She is afaraid of the rain.Your daughter, Alli. 'ALLISHA'S POVMonths wenty by, seasons changed, and I met more people. My world that I thought was big already, I am wrong. That world I am just starting to walk in and get to know is so much bigger and interesting. It was the Monday morning in the third week of August and I am about to leave our house. My phone rang for the third time five minutes ago and I just ignored it again since, only my family and Autumn knew my number.I walked blissfully to our waiting area because I really love the morning breeze. The cold breeze made me relaxed and peaceful. It wipes away all the bad feelings whenever my parents wake us up. They wake us in a very odd and annoying manner. The service arrived just on-time and Autumn, greeted and hugged me cheerfully. Something that an Autumn will never do. Something us just different today,s he's very lively in an akward way." Goodmorning Rayz! Hm," Autumn greeted sheepishly." Goodmorning. So, what is up? What have you done?" I greeted back and asked her w
ALLISHA'S POV" Come on now! Wake up already!" My mom dragged on my door." Yes mom," I stood up and walk out half-awake.Pans are already clattering at the kitchen. My heart skipped in joy to see my father already preparing breakfast." Sure time pass by so fast. Hm!" I whispered to myself as I enjoyed the scent of the soap scribbling through my body." Hey, come on! Faster! I need to use bathroom.," Juz shouted which startled me." Ouch!" I growled in pain as I blindly look for the deeper because some shampoo entered my eyes when I got startled.I hurried up and stormed out of the bathroom." I wish I have my own bathroom!" I annoyingly wished as I put on my uniform.Life is really unpredictable. Meeting people of the same rhythm, chances are neither things will be good nor bad." Mom, I'm...whatever. They wouldn't even care." I put on my earphones and clicked my paylist. I jumped cheerfully on each step of our stairs and walked towards our gate. Everytime, I take a step away f
ALLISHA'S POVDays went on, meeting Fritz and Ed changed me a lot. The feelings and moments they made me experienced were so incredibly different from what I had back when I studied my elementary in a religious school. I enjoyed every second. I am happy." Hey, my bestfriend!" Autumn greeted me while packing up my things after a long tiring day." What?" I said without even looking at her." I see your having a good time with your new friends. Huh!" She said and help herself down the concrete bench built under the trees with the perfect view of the landscape and and the sky. My favorite spot." Yeah! I guess. Opening up to others isn't that bad." I smiled and sat beside her." I am happy for you, in fact, you are friendly now as I have observed but you see, not everyone is as innocent as you," she said while staring out at the field." What do you mean?" I asked as I look at her intently."While you see this as just normal thing. But to others, it's a lot different. I know we all have
ALLISHA'S POVClasses are over and because there will be a faculty meeting, my book time will also be earlier---and longer! I clasped my book with all excitement and started to march out of the room and head to the library. But unfortunately, I couldn’t be more unlucky. “ Where do you think you are going?” Fritz asked while holding on my uniform at the back. No matter I try to struggle my way out of his grip, he wouldn’t let go. “ Mind your own business. I won’t let you ruin this,” I said looking helplessly at the library. “ Fine, then I’m coming!” He then grabbed me. “ Please no!” I said begging him not to come. I am too afraid he’d know my secret. But, he never even bother to listen to me. He let go of my hand and snatched the book I am holding. “Just half of the year and your borrower’s card is almost full,” he said in amazement while scanning my borrower’s card. “ Give it back. Not this time.” I said while doing my all to grab it back. Until I realized that we are alread
ALLISHA's POVOne month of hard work and preparations, finally the competition was over. Everybody was in full spirit. We all felt proud of our performance.“ Congratulations everyone. You all did great. Now that the performance was over, enjoy the events.” Our coach happily announced and we all shouted in loud cheer.“ Let’s go!” Autumn grabbed me and visited all the booths. We ate, played, and laughed all day.The best!Until the last day of the intramural week, we spent every second in a blast.Since we already went to each single booth, we agreed to go see some sports event. We first visited the basketball event and to my surprise, Ed and the boys were competing for the championship. I couldn’t make myself believe because every girl out there were cheering for them. “ So, they are really popular?” I uttered unconsciously.“ Finally you realized!” Autumn said.We stayed there for quiet sometime and even cheered for them. Then, a hand grabbed me out of the crowds. “ Come with
ALLISHA'S POV“ You! I got a call from your teacher and she wanted us to go see her because your grades aren’t good enough to keep you on the top section,” my mom scolded me.The year was coming to an end, school were about to be over. I am guilty, yes, I was not studying hard enough to get to the rankings, even enough to keep me my spot on the top section. But right now, I couldn’t feel anything nor be hurt from my mom’s words.I only stared and let her finish all that she wanted to say and let her kill me with her glares then, it’s over. Moments of silence and she left. What’s new? I bet she wouldn’t even come or attend that stupid meeting.I walked to my room and locked it. And----my tears shred on my best bestfriend, pillow!I poured my heart out until I stopped when my phone vibrated.“ Oh my gosh! I almost forgot. Tomorrow, will be great.”I typed and sent my response. Then I took some things out of my backpack and spent my whole night cutting and pasting. The next morning, I j
Hundred years from the present time. Future.ROJUM’S POVMy alarm went off with its usual tone. It’s Monday.“To do list, check. Schedules, check. School tasks, check. Home tasks, check. I can feel it. I’ll have a big increase in worth digits.”15 minutes of exercise.20 minutes in the bath.20 minutes of school preparation.10 minutes for breakfast.5 minutes toothbrush.“I’m going to school.” I called to inform the people in the house. It’s a must. Not a digit must go to waste.I stepped out and started walking to school.Jyz and Leigh passed by riding in their car. They look joyful; they must have an increase. Good for them, but mine’s higher. What happened to my worth digits?‘HAHAHA’An unfamiliar sound echoed, catching my attention and distracting me from worrying about my digits being lost. What is that?[
Future time.Third Person's POVAllisha woke up under an enormous tree. She stood up and looked around in so much confusion.“Where am I? What happened?“ She said she was terrified, trying so hard to calm herself down.“Ah, maybe I’m dreaming. Yeah! I’m just dreaming! OH MY GOSH! It feels so real,” she screamed after slapping her face. She tried to slap her face again, and again, but she just got hurt even more.“This cannot be happening. In dreams, there’s no pain,” she convinced herself. “Wait, am I dead?”She walked back and forth, trying to recall what had happened before all this. I tried so many things to wake up.“No! This cannot be happening!” She finally tired out. “I’m in so much pain. Come on, God, please; I’m too young to die.”She wailed helplessly while scanning her surroundings.Everything was unfamiliar, but the place looked so much better than her old neighborhood. She noticed a fountain and decided to go there. Water is in fact greatly used in waking people up.She
