6. The Rich Kids

Chapter Six

“Fine, I will do it.” Vincent said being selfish and signing the contract before the bodyguards pushed him out of the car.

“Kingston University, here I come!” Vincent said shouting and getting all excited that after all the things that he has been through , he is finally going to attend his dream university which is great news to him besides it’s either he accepts it or these influential and deadly people will kill him.

Vincent didn’t go to work at the construction site that day, he ran back home and completed all the information he needed to fill in the school portal.

Vincent was so anxious and excited that he washed his best clothes , pressed them and slept early so that he would wake up early in the morning and start attending school which is on the other fancy and rich side of town.

The first rays of dawn peeked through the gaps in the curtains, gently illuminating the room where the young man, Vincent , lay fast asleep. As the sunlight slowly caressed his face, he stirred, his eyes fluttering open.

A wide smile stretched across his lips as he realized that today was the day he had eagerly been waiting for. Today marked the beginning of his journey towards attending the prestigious and best university in the state.

With a surge of excitement propelling him out of bed, Vincent sprang to his feet, his youthful energy coursing through his veins. The cool morning air greeted him as he made his way to the bathroom.

The tiled floor felt refreshing beneath his bare feet, invigorating his senses further. The sound of water droplets dancing in the shower beckoned him, and he wasted no time in stepping into the cascade of warmth.

As the water cascaded down his body, Vincent relished the sensation, allowing it to awaken his senses fully. He reveled in the feeling of renewal, washing away the remnants of sleep and embracing the possibilities that lay ahead.

He reached for his favorite bar of soap, inhaling its invigorating scent. The lather spread across his skin like a comforting embrace, leaving him refreshed and ready to face the day.

Once the ritual of cleansing was complete, Vincent stepped out of the shower, water droplets clinging to his glistening skin.

He grabbed a towel and vigorously dried himself, relishing in the gentle friction against his body. He caught his reflection in the foggy bathroom mirror and couldn't help but admire the anticipation gleaming in his eyes.

With a sense of purpose, Vincent made his way to his bedroom, towel draped around his waist. The room radiated an air of excitement, clothes carefully laid out on his neatly made bed.

He effortlessly slipped into a crisp faded white shirt, meticulously buttoning it up. The fabric clung to his toned frame, enhancing his youthful charm.

Next came the trousers, perfectly tailored to fit his long legs. He swiftly fastened the belt, adjusting it to his liking. As he looked at himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Every detail mattered today, every stitch and every crease aligning with the significance of the occasion.

The mirror reflected a young man poised for success, his reflection seeming to acknowledge the immense potential within him.

His shoes, polished to a shine, awaited him on the floor. He slipped them on, the weight of expectation settling upon his shoulders. As he stood tall, the rhythm of his heartbeat quickened, the excitement pulsating through his veins. He looked around his room one last time, ensuring that everything was in order.

Finally, Vincent took a deep breath, inhaling the exhilaration that filled the air. The day had arrived.

He was about to embark on a journey that would shape his future, surrounded by knowledge and opportunity at the best university in the state. With a confident stride, he stepped out of his room and into the world, ready to seize the day and make his mark on the world.

“I wish I had a family to share this joy with “Vincent whispered to himself while playing with the black bracelet on his arms.

Vincent sat on the bench, his eyes wide open, his jaw almost hitting the floor. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The university grounds were bustling with students, each one seemingly more stylish and affluent than the last. It was a stark contrast to his own humble background.

Born and raised in a small, impoverished town, Vincent had fought tooth and nail to earn his place in this prestigious university and he still didn't get in till this miracle happened.

The prospect of a brighter future had driven him to overcome every obstacle, but now he was faced with a reality that seemed unimaginable.

As he observed his fellow students, his heart sank. They wore clothes that looked like they had been pulled right off the runway of a fashion show.

Their outfits were meticulously coordinated, each piece seemingly designed by renowned fashion houses. Expensive designer labels adorned their shirts, jackets, and even their shoes.

Vincent looked down at his own worn-out jeans and faded t-shirt. The clothes that he had brought from home were nothing compared to the fashionable attire he now saw around him. He felt out of place, like a lone pebble in a sea of diamonds.

But it wasn't just the students' attire that left Vincent in awe; it was their cars.

They lined the parking lot, sleek and shiny, representing the epitome of wealth. Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Bentleys stood side by side, each one worth a fortune. It was as if every student had a supercar of their own, effortlessly displaying their affluence and privilege.

Vincent had never owned a car. In fact, he had never even sat in one. His journey to the university had been a long bus ride, followed by a walk through the campus gates.

Vincent suddenly heard his phone vibrating,it was a call from Nina his ex girlfriend and he ignored her.She kept calling more than 50 times till he blocked her without hearing out what she has to say to him.
