Chapter 8 : The Fate

The sheer number of years made the heart of Daron to shake intensely. 

  One should know the lifespan of an Emperor was only ten million years and was far from comparing to trillions of years. 

  And considering the fact that the giant had experienced thousands of Chaos eras , Daron could not even calculate the number of years this Immortal sovereign had lived . 

 "That's a very long period of time !". Daron couldn't help but exclaim. 

 "Many have lived far more than that ". The voice of the giant sounded again. 

 "When you get to a certain level , time becomes meaningless to you ". The giant sighed again in a forlorn voice as if he was remembering some certain things. 

 "Your fate is shrouded in Chaos showing immense danger and calamity ". The voice of the giant sounded again, carrying immense force that shook the surrounding environment. 

 "Your path and destiny has already been determined , you will fall on your journey of becoming an immortal !!". 

 The words of the giant made the expression of Daron to change drastically. 

 "I will die before I become an immortal ?". Daron whispered softly to himself as his heart skipped. 

 "Fate , Destiny , all path determined !!". The giant said again and his voice was laced with pity this time around. 

 "Are you saying that my ending has already been determined from the start ?". Daron asked with a downcast expression. 

 "Yes , as the inheritor of that thing you carry , your fate and destiny is no longer in your hands. You destiny has already been determined from the moment of your rebirth ". The giant answered. 

 Daron became silent as he clenched his fists tightly. 

 His emotions was in turmoil !. 

 So his path has already been arranged by a certain being . 

 His rebirth , everything was carefully planned and calculated. 

 "Hahaha , what's the essence of my existence then ?". Daron laughed with immense sadness in his eyes. 

 No doubt the thing that the giant referred to was probably that strange origin treasure that returned with him from the future. 

 The giant was silent was he calmly watched the young boy with immense sorrow in his eyes. 

 Anyone would be devastated if they were told that their destiny has already been determined right from the start. 

 After wiping away tears from his eyes , the aura of Daron changed as he looked at the giant calmly. 

 "Even though you said that my fate has already been determined , I still want to fight against my predetermined fate !!". Daron roared out with newly ignited passion. 

 So what if his fate was already determined !! . 

 He will not sit back and watch everything calmly. 

 He had to fight against whosoever that he was using him as a chess piece . 

 "You ....!". The giant did not expect Daron to react this way. 

 "Do you know what you are up against ?". The giant asked in a low tone. 

 "All the previous inheritors could not escape from their predetermined fate . You should know that the so called Emperor realm is not even qualified to be an ant in front of him ". The giant said deeply but the fighting intent of Daron did not diminish instead, it continued to soar. 

 "My fate and destiny is determined by me and me alone !!". Daron roared out. 

 "Yes , I might be less than an ant to him but I will never let anyone determine my path and destiny !!!". 

 The passionate voice of Daron continued to echoe across the vast space and the giant sighed as he looked at the young man in front of him. 

 He did not bother to explain some facts to him anymore. 

 Some memories came back to his mind and he seemed to see the shadow of his younger self in the young man. 

 Many eras ago , he made a similar statement but in the end , reality struck him so hard. 

 Somethings are already predestined and can never changed no matter how passionate or rebellious you are. 

 In front of absolute strength , every being will bow !. 

 "I love your fighting spirit and I wish you good luck. I would have loved to help you but I don't want to tainted with karma ". The giant sighed softly and said. 

 He could not risk involving himself in the affairs of that being as terrifying chessboard enveloped the entire universe and everyone was hiding , barely surviving. 

 "Nevertheless , I got this nameless technique from a ruin and I could not practice it. Maybe , you should try it out ". The giant pointed his finger forward and a beam of light flashed into the head of Daron. 

 Boooom!! Daron felt a mysterious scripture that carried terrifying aura appear in his mind and he bowed deeply towards the giant. 

 "It's nothing ". The giant said casually. 

 "Perhaps, it might be of help to you on your journey of fighting against your fate ". The giant did not really think that the young man will succeed in his so called act of fighting against his fate. 

 "Can I ask why nobody can become an immortal ?". Daron decided to asked the giant about this problem. 

 "I can't tell you the reason because it bears terrifying karma that I can't afford to bear ". The giant answered. 

 "Nevertheless , the era of immortals will open again and the myraid worlds will usher in terrifying changes ". The giant continued. 

 "Thank you ". Daron bowed with gratitude. 

 "We will meet again if fate allows it ". The giant said mysteriously and the vision of Daron immediately blurred as he found himself standing in front of the four statues. 

 Looking at one of the statues that depicted a young man , Daron muttered absent-mindedly. 

 "Immortal sovereign, what kind of a being are you ?". 

 He felt that the universe was shrouded with countless secrets especially the reason why no one could not become an immortal. 

 Looking at the other three statues , he wondered who they were and since they were placed on the Same position with the immortal sovereign , their status wouldn't be low. 

 What the immortal sovereign said kept repeating in his head and his eyes narrowed in a solemn expression. 

 He seemed to be involved in a terrifying game and he was just a chess piece. 

 "No matter what , I need to fight !". Daron clenched his fists and said fiercely. 

 "Pheew , so you are here !". A voice suddenly sounded behind Daron.
