Chapter Forty three

Even though Rhys was in his car with his eyes closed, he could sense most of the things happening around him, like how he could sense the wave of nervousness rolling off the driver, and Zain who sat far away from him, probably worried that he might anger his boss by breathing too loudly. He also sensed the cars that had been trailing after him even since he drove through the gates of the mansion. He didn’t sense any murderous intent from them, which made it seem like they weren’t going to harm him but Rhys had already guessed that this was what his mother had planned.

He chuckled lightly, quite amused by his mother’s actions, he was no longer as weak as he was I’m the past, he was even stronger than a well trained bodyguard except he had no experience and he had to build up his body and train his attack and defense skills until they were enough to save him from immediate death. He was still a normal human who could also get hurt and injured, he couldn’t outrun a bullet yet.
