Chapter one hundred and forty Nine

Rhys entered his room, his heart still heavy with sorrow. He locked the door behind him, ensuring he was alone. Then, he focused his mind and entered his inter-dimensional space. As he opened his eyes, he found himself in a vast, ethereal realm. The space spirit Rio stood before him, his messy hair and bright blue eyes a familiar sight.

“Rio, I need your help,” Rhys said, his voice urgent. “A virus is sweeping through the world, infecting millions. I’ve lost count of how many people are already gone.”

Rio’s expression turned serious, his eyes filled with concern. “Tell me more,” he said, his voice gentle.

Rhys took a deep breath, recounting everything he knew about the virus. Rio listened intently, his eyes never leaving Rhys’s face.
