Chapter one hundred and forty four

Cleopatra felt pissed off upon seeing the expression on Tony’s face. She also knew that she had to act fast, to curb Tony before he went too far.

Tony just turned and walked away, his mind consumed by thoughts of Elena. He would stop at nothing to capture her, to make her his. And no one would stand in his way. Cleopatra quickly followed after him, her heels clicking on the hospital floor as she struggled to keep up with his long strides. “Tony, wait!” she called out, her voice firm but laced with a hint of desperation.

Tony didn’t slow down, his gaze fixed on some point ahead. Cleopatra knew that look, that determination in his eyes. It was a look that brooked no argument, no dissent. “Tony, stop!” she demanded, grabbing his arm and spinning him around. “We’re partners, remember? We’re in this together. If you go down, I go down too.”
