Chapter 9. Scorpions and Black Crabs Monster's

Looking for the Key to Open the Door to the Second Floor of the Central Tower Building.

Simple quests. Maybe that's what the people around Lucius and Kaylee thought. Lucius noticed very clearly from the reactions of the other players after they got the quest.

Unfortunately for Lucius, quests like this were prone to traps.

There was no slightest clue for where the key to the door to the second floor of the Central Tower building.

There was no notification what monsters they would face.

No one knows, behind the fortress walls that surround these five buildings, what traps or dangers are hidden.

And, after all, looking for one small object among five large buildings is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Lucius reread the keyword on the skill needed to do this quest: knowledge of logic.

'The time when I ran this first round, I was too fool to realize the keyword was in the skills required,' Lucius said to himself.

Lucius' grin curved. In the not too distant future, Lucius must solve the puzzle of where the key is. All he needed to do now was guess what place the keys were kept.

"I will be the first to retrieve the key!" One of them shouted.

In five seconds, when the Greek patterned and gilded gates opened, people came running. Their movements were rushed because they wanted to be the first to pick up the key.

Lucius looked at Kaylee who had a questioning expression on her face.

"You want to start now?" she asked.

Lucius shrugged his shoulders. "Shouldn't we? We can't escape."

After saying his lines, Lucius then ran from before Kaylee. But his running speed is not as fast as the other players. Lucius didn't want to be too hasty.

Upon entering the border gate, Lucius paused for a moment. His pair of eyes looked around with great detail.

'I missed the keywords because I was too panicked and in a hurry, that's why I was left behind to be the last person. If this step need a logical thinking skill, thats mean everything on here full of things whose conclusions are solved by logic,' Lucius thought as his pair of eyes scanned around.

This defensive wall had five layers of circles before they arrived at the territory of five buildings. Each circle of walls is not visible where is the door to the second circle.

Lucius remembered that when he passed this first round, he was just busy rotating around the wall looking for the door to the second circle. It took quite a lot of time and made Lucius unable to get more additional points.

'I need to see detail by detail from my logical thinking side,' Lucius thought again.

"Lucius, the player who has circled first returns to this starting point. Isn't there a door inside?" Kaylee asked as the players who ran earlier suddenly appeared at the same starting line—the point they were standing on now.

Kaylee frowned looking at the exhausted players. They paused to bend over and hold each other's knees.

'Of course they return to the starting point, they won't find anything,' Lucius said to himself.

"Kaylee, can you help me again?" asked Lucius as he looked seriously at some of the holes in the fortress walls.

"Yes?" Kaylee replied.

Lucius walked ahead of Kaylee before answering. He felt the wall while walking rather quickly.

"Lucius, what are you doing?" asked Kaylee who also walked behind Lucius.

No answer.

At one point, as the other players continued running in circles around the wall circle, Lucius stopped fingering. There are several holes that are not far from each other.

"You know the sport of climbing?" Lucius asked Kaylee.

Kaylee nodded her head. "I know and have tried it. What's wrong?"

"The holes in the wall are not that far from each other, you can step on them like you're doing sport climbing. You have to climb carefully but quickly.

"We don't have much time. Meanwhile, even if we turn around no matter how many times we won't be able to find where the door to the second layer of this defensive wall is."

Kaylee was confused listening to Lucius' explanation. "Won't be able to find the door?"

Lucius nodded. "Because most likely the door isn't downstairs."

To be honest Kaylee still couldn't understand what Lucius meant. But unfortunately because Lucius had given a hint that everything would be fine, Kaylee complied.

"You climb in that part, I'll find another climbing spot," said Lucius.

Without waiting for Kaylee's answer, Lucius then walked while feeling the wall again. Lucius secretly watched the ground they were walking on slowly crack lengthwise. Like cracks in a chick's egg that wants to hatch.

Lucius' feelings became anxious. He was afraid that he couldn't go faster than time.

'Something is going to come out of this underground,' Lucius thought. 'It won't be long. If they've appeared—'

Before Lucius could finish thinking, the crack in the ground spread even faster. Over time the cracks almost made the hole split.

Lucius could see the cracks from underground. He stared dumbfounded, imagining what something would come out of the cracks in the cracks of the ground.

Lucius immediately recovered from his shock, then gave the code to Kaylee to move quickly up. While he immediately grabbed one of the holes in the wall to hold the body's weight. After that one foot began to step on the hole in the defensive wall.

With slow movements, both of Lucius' feet stepped on one by one the different holes and climbed up. He strengthened the strength of his hands each time he gripped the hole so he could support his body.

As Lucius' body rose further, the cracks in the ground grew faster. The cleavage that originally only showed a small gap, is now slowly getting bigger.

"Hey, what are they doing?!" One of the players noticed Lucius and Kaylee's movements.

Lucius told Kaylee not to worry about the other players. Luckily, Kaylee didn't ask too many questions.

"The ground is cracking!"

"Hey, let's ride like them!"

"Hey, hey, look what's coming out of those cracks!"

Lucius was distracted after hearing what one of the players said. When Lucius' gaze lowered to re-examine the crack in the ground. The hole enlarged and several creatures crawled out of the ground.

"AH! SCORPIONS! MY FEET ARE SO SICK!"

"QUICK RIDE LIKE THEM!"

Then with the panic that hit, they rushed to join in the climbing. They all did not care about the exact position of the climbing spot.

In just a matter of seconds, creatures like scorpions and black crabs that were the size of two adult men's palms were growing in number.

It was true what Lucius suspected. Something unexpected must have appeared. The number of creatures was so great that the scene looked like a ten thousand black ant army.

Lucius shuddered. This is what missed his consciousness when he first played the first half.

Because he was too busy turning around looking for the door, Lucius didn't think of anything outside of logic.

The entrance to the second layer of this circle is above.

Yes, above, in the middle of the wall that Lucius was climbing just now, there was a door leading to the second layer of defensive wall circle area.

Lucius knew that because of the keyword of the skill required in this round: Knowledge of Logic.

If he use logic, if the door isn't there below, especially since the ground below is already full of swarms of scorpions and black crabs, it means that there really isn't a way there. So he had to find another way.

The door must be at the top, in the middle of this wall. Lucius needed to finger.

"Lucius! The beasts are starting to climb up the wall!" Kaylee exclaimed.

Lucius looked down. A cluster of scorpions and black crabs started piling on each other on the wall. Those that were below piled up on one another, piled on top of each other, then getting higher and higher.

The creatures seemed to want to reach the players who were climbing the walls. Their movements were very fast until the pile was very high.

Lucius grinned. He waved his left hand, opening the status window until the system's blue screen appeared in front of his face.

He fiddled around for a bit, then activated the only skill he had.

Lucius said to Kaylee "Kaylee, will you come with me?!"

Kaylee frowned in confusion.

Without saying anything, Lucius gave a sideways glance. As Kaylee followed Lucius' gaze, she was left speechless for a few seconds.

Then Lucius made a two-finger gesture walking sideways, climbed six steps, and stopped at one point.

"Red!" said Lucius.

Kaylee looked in the direction Lucius had pointed.

He just realized something.

The fort walls are dark brown in color. However, there are several points on the wall that are slightly lighter in color.

With a movement of his mouth, Lucius told Kayle, "P-i-n-t-u!"

Yes, they found the door leading to the first circle area of the fort walls.
