The sudden appearance of the never seen phenomenon called ‘Mana’ transformed ordinary people into Supernatural beings that could do impossible things such as, create something from nothing, read minds, etc, and also resulted in the creation of things that could increase their power. This later became famously known as cultivation. In the Golden Era of cultivation, something unexpected happened; it was the popularity of a brand new VRMMO Game “The Gate”

A Game that became famous in a world of magic and cultivation.

Something nobody could predict had happened

This Game got the investment and support of the Hidden Big tycoons worldwide. The 1^st  successful Game in which Game Currency could be converted to Real  Money and vice versa.

This Game resulted in nobodies becoming millionaires in one night! 5 years after it started a player came to the world and turned the world upside down. The Player’s name was “The Legendary Ark“ whose identity was unknown. His gaming skills were top-notch.

He formed a guild that challenged the positions of Super Guilds (The Top Guilds). The Guild’s name was “The Hidden ones”, a guild that gave ordinary people the courage to fight the bullies- the guilds that monopolized resources.

Gerald’s Point of View

“It’s almost time for the server to open. Let’s join the game,” I said while looking at the magnificent pod that I worked day and night for 5 years to buy it. The servers had been set to open at 7 pm due to people exhausting their life force by staying in it day and night.

‘Finally, it's 7 pm, time to become “The legendary Ark”, what a cornier name it feels like after personally putting it as my username’ I thought. I got into the pod. The technology used in the pod allows the user to play 6hours in the game when in reality it’s only been 1 hour.

‘That almost mechanical female voice seems to always fascinate me, even though I might have heard it over a hundred times already’ I thought. A few moments after I logged in James ran inside in a hurry saying “Guild master I have very important news to share with you.”

I sighed and said to him “James there is no need for formality between us. We both did our share to make this guild what it is today. So there is no need to call me ‘Guild Master’ at all.”

James replied “That is not important Guild master but I have important news. Your topnotch personally-trained information crew has gathered info that there is a world boss in twilight forest.”

The words ‘World Boss’ was repeated in my head. World Bosses were the rarest of rare among monsters and bosses in The GATE. Every player/team that defeated one became a monster in the real world and the game world. Countless guilds and organizations were ready to pay any price to get them. This was one of the main reasons for the popularity of the game. People were able to get various experiences and miraculous opportunities to advance their rank of cultivation through the game.

‘With the defeat of this World Boss, I can finally get rid of those parasites that were sucking our guild resources dry. Just the memory of them gives a bad taste to the mouth’ I thought. I asked again “Where did you say The World Boss was”

At Twilight Forest

After we prepared ourselves we got together and entered Twilight forest. We both were the only ones since any other members will just get in the way. We finally found the boss At the Lvl 250 Hunting Ground it was a gigantic Dog with 3 heads and radiated power. I used my lower Rank Demi-Divine Eyes/High-Grade Identify Skill that I got when I was lvl 100.

Info- This Cerberus is the failed pet of The Death God which has zero affinity with magic even after being in close contact with the Death God for a long period But it managed to increase its physical strength. This rare Divine Cerberus has become enraged due to it being abandoned by its master due to it being Weak!

‘ I was flabbergasted by the enormous stats of this monster and even more so by there being stats that I could not read since my skill was a very rare skill that was considered powerful and also that it was abandoned by a god due to it being weak’ I thought . James immediately asked while making sure to not get hit by the monster “What is its info and can we defeat it”

I replied “It is enraged and its stats are too OP, our chances are slim but we cannot escape now that it’s spotted us. So get ready to risk anything”

A few hours later

We had managed to decrease it to its last HP but I was almost dead and James had it worst he was in a really bad condition. I immediately asked him “do you have any potions with you.”He shook his head and I replied while dodging “I will attack it and you give me support.”He nodded

I managed to reduce its life till it was not visible anymore and then it gave a sudden attack and I died and became a ghost for 24 hrs in real-time. I wanted to see the result so I did not immediately log out. Then I saw James giving a wicked smile that I never show before. He took an Advanced potion and drank it. That ******* hide it from me.

He managed to defeat the boss and I heard the world announcement echoing while feeling a sudden pain in my chest after feeling my hand going numb. The next day the world was shocked by the news of the death of the legendary ark revealed by the company due to a heart attack.
