They were progressing in a dark long hallway aiming to reach the white square of light before them while the noises of gunshots and the screams of the outlaws were becoming louder with every step they put. They could even hear footsteps coming from above them giving the impression that people were running in every direction, on the upper floor.Volga had chosen to walk two by two as the hallway was not very large and also she thought that if they were too many they would not be able to react in time in case of an ambuscade.[They don't have reflexes as sharp as mine so I better walk in front so that I can protect them well] she had said to herself."We are almost there, only five meters left, get ready," Carla whispered to her comrades behind her. She had, earlier, proposed to Volga to be her partner and the latter didn't say no since that was what she had planned to do from the beginning. Volga believed that this girl was the most capable of all her team and the devotion she didn't s
They went down and left the house using the same way they had used to enter since they wanted to call back the few people from Jamal's team that Volga had left behind earlier. They got in their cars, Jamal put up his motorbike on Ilya's pickup and went to sit beside Volga on the backseats. They rolled around the house and quickly joined the rest of her team.As expected, they had already finished their part of the job and were quietly waiting sitting here there in the courtyard. When they saw them coming, they slowly started to get up to go meet them. Volga and Jamal got off the car and Jeffrey came to tell them briefly what happened. He said that after she left, they managed to hold the group of outlaws who were trying to escape, "they were completely dispersed and so they were easy prey" he joked. He carried on by saying that this situation didn't last forever, some of them went to report to their chief that there was another group of enemies at the gate who were attacking them. The
"I think here it will be OK," Jamal told Carla. They were at the right wing of the house, in a quite small court, limited by one wall of the house and two others from the concrete structure which was surrounding the entire house. There was a wooden square table and four chairs around it beside a small, but still beautiful, kitchen garden. Jamal supposed that it was maybe the place Glenn liked to spend his time when he wanted to relax or just be alone with his partner. It was a quiet place, a little bit farther from the main court and almost inaccessible to curious eyes. To be able to see or only hear something one must walk the path and enter the small court. He turned around to face Carla. "You can have a seat," he told her while waving his hand toward the nearest wooden chair. She inspected her surroundings and gazed at him then at the chair before she decided to sit on it.He, too, walked to go for the seat just before her, he stared at her for a moment while she was still bowing h
Carla joined her hands and even though she was still reluctant to tell her story, she forced herself to comply with Jamal's request.Jamal had already a general idea about how was her childhood, which was why he was not surprised at all about the beginning of her story."I'm an orphan who was born inside a bus, that's what my grandma never stopped telling me, but reaching a certain age, everybody can figure out what truly happened," she began her story with a melancholic voice, "I call her my grandma but you have to know that we're not related in anything, she was an old lady who just happened to find me, when I was infant, in a garbage can or in whatever dark corner I got dumped. She must have felt pity for me and she picked me up. She raised me until my 5 years old when she died from there, as I inherited all her wealth as well as her belongings, some false relatives started to appear from nowhere and battled with each other to decide who would have my guard and thus possess my gran
When Nelson arrived at the HQ, he was surprised to see that the party had already begun a while ago. Half of the soldiers were already mildly drunk and were dancing in the middle of the court while the other half was standing here and there chatting happily. A large number of dishes were already empty and looking at how various snacks the other plates were containing, Nelson couldn't guess what they contained several minutes before. He turned around and ordered his men to take all the things they had brought from Finn and Brett's houses and transport them inside, "don't hesitate to ask for help if you find something too heavy, don't take any risk of hurting yourselves". He advised them.Sania detached herself from the small crowd and walked furiously toward Nelson. She walked and passed by him enough close to purposely bump his shoulder before she continued walking as if nothing happened."What's your problem?"She suddenly stopped and slowly turned around to face him, she stepped for
Nelson had checked the entire first floor without success. When he decided to go for the next level he immediately felt dumb for not having thought earlier to inspect their own room first. He quickly went up the stairs, ran through the hallway, and hastily pushed the door. Inside, the room was completely dark, which meant that she did purposely turn off all the lights while holding the sunlight from entering through the windows by pulling the curtains. He palpated the wall on his left and took a few seconds before he finally found the switch to switch on the light. As the room was now enlightened, he easily found Sania at the first glance. She was sitting on the floor on the opposite side, her back leaning on the corner while hiding her face in her arms. He approached her slowly and after firstly standing in front of her wondering if it would be appropriate for him to go further, he went to sit just beside her, close enough for their shoulders to touch. He took a look at her and as to
"Oh?" Jamal exclaimed, surprised "I didn't expect that everyone would be already up".Everyone in the room was looking at him awkwardly, maybe because he was naked, dressed with only one towel hung around his hips which was covering the lower half of his body until his knees. They have been silent for a moment now and Jamal started to feel not at ease, the more they were staring at him the more he was feeling embarrassed. Carla tried vainly to get her sight off his body, her face was all red while Nelson and Volga were staring at him with astonishment and he even sensed a bit of fear in their eyes.Jamal thought that the situation would stay like that again for some more minutes until Sania jumped out of her bed, and walked toward the locker to take two white bathrobes, she put the first one on her shoulder while throwing the second one at Jamal who quickly used it to cover himself. She then walked toward the exit and before getting out she said, "I want everyone to get out of here an
After her short nap, Volga sat up on her bed and stretched out before she walked toward the door and left her room. In the hallway of that small house, as she was heading to the kitchen, with a glimpse to her right, she noticed Jamal who was sitting on the balustrade, staring away with a sense of absence. She stopped and changed her direction."Are you alright?" she asked as she was reaching him.The man turned his head gently accompanied by a sweet smile, "it's the fifth time you've asked me this since we arrived"."That's because I feel like something is wrong with you". She went to place herself just in front of him, "something is bothering you, I know it, but after all my efforts you still don't want to share it with me, does it mean..."Jamal landed gently his hand on her shoulder to stop her before she finished, "believe me, you are the person I trust the most in this journey, so I will ask you to trust me back. I'm not lying when I'm saying that I'm totally fine".They stared a
