Sinking deeper into the seat, Zane finally settled into the luxurious comfort of his sleek car.
Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and allowed all the exhaustion that had been accumulating throughout the evening to dissipate.
The gravity of the night's occurrences seemed to dissipate as he sat there, taking in the tranquil purr of the engine and the tranquil aura of the dashboard lights. For just a moment, everything was at peace.
“I actually did it,” He whispered to himself, a delighted smile appearing on his face.
He was filled with gratitude as he had managed to put into practice the cultivation teachings he had learned thus far.Suddenly, the tranquil atmosphere was disrupted by a loud screeching noise as Cedric abruptly slammed on the brakes. His wide eyes were just in time to take in the sight of several menacing black cars encircling them, blocking off their escape route.
"What's going on, Cedric?" Zane inquired, trying to conceal the anxiety that was quickly rising in his voice.
Though he was aware of the hazardous situation they were in, Zane maintained his composure.
"Master, I don't know. It looks like they're trying to stop us," Cedric said, his brow creased in confusion. "Did I do something wrong? Could it be that I hit someone? But...I don't think so."
Zane observed the situation that was unfolding before him, but his face betrayed no sign of worry.
He muttered to himself, "Who are these people?"
The tension outside the car was palpable, and through the tinted windows, Zane could make out a group of menacing figures emerging from several black cars.
They were all wearing identical black clothes and each of them was gripping a golf club.
Cedric said to Zane, "Master, this looks like it's going to be bad. What do you think we should do?"
Despite the fact that Cedric wasn't scared of the group of thugs, he still respected Zane's decisions.
"We're surrounded," Zane said expressionlessly, "and it looks like we don't have any other option but to confront them, right?"
Cedric gave a nod of affirmation, "Yes, Master."
Peering through the tinted windows, Zane narrowed his eyes, trying to discern any details that might give him a clue about their sudden aggressors.
Unfortunately, the darkness outside offered little in the way of answers, with the black cars and their occupants shrouded in mystery.
Unable to make sense of the situation, Zane's mind raced with possibilities.
Could this be a reaction to the events at the charity? Was it someone from one of the participants, or perhaps something unrelated entirely?
A person, appearing to be in charge of the group, boomed in a menacing voice, "Zane Gardner! Show yourself! I'm certain you are in there!"
"Master, let me take on this fight. I'll make sure you're safe," Cedric implored, hoping to safeguard Zane against any potential danger.
But then, the statement of Zane was the complete opposite. Zane, maintaining a composed demeanor, placed a comforting hand on Cedric's shoulder. "Cedric, stay in the car," he said in a composed tone. "I'll take care of this."
"Alright," Cedric replied, nodding and smiling. "Be careful, Master."
Cedric had observed Zane intently training, he realized that this was the moment for him to implement what he had learned.
Zane nodded and smiled confidently, then opened the car door and stepped out, standing confidently before the group.
The thugs observed Zane as the burly leader stepped forward. He had a scar running down his cheek and a sinister smirk on his face.
He chuckled as he spoke, "So, you're Zane Gardner? Seems a bit much to have brought so many of us here for one person! Hahaha."
"Master, it appears that defeating him doesn't require much effort or time; all you did was sit back and watch comfortably," said one of them.
"That's right," the leader replied with a laugh. "I think he's nothing more than a feeble cockroach. Hahaha!"
Zane stood his ground, his gaze firmly locked onto the leader's. "What do you want?" he asked, his tone neither challenging nor submissive, but determined.
The leader smirked, a cold glint in his eyes. "We have a message for you," he began. "Stay away from the Scotts. Or your life will be in danger."
Zane, understanding the nature of the confrontation, kept his composure.
"Why are you suddenly ordering me to do that?" he replied calmly. "And why should I take orders from someone I don't even know? Who is the person behind this?"
The group leader sharpened his eyes after hearing Zane's answer. "It doesn't matter to you who our Master is," he said sternly. “Clearly, you have made the wrong decision, and you will soon regret it!”
The thugs tightened their grip on their golf clubs and raised them up, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Zane.
Despite the fact that Zane had never been involved in a fight before, let alone against so many opponents, he remained composed and confident.
The leader thug bellowed with great intensity, "All of you! Attack him with no mercy! Strike him until he is no more!"
They shouted in unison and quickly marched towards Zane.
He muttered to himself, "Good, this is a great chance for me to demonstrate all the knowledge I have gained up until now."
He had no other option but to take them on in battle. It was his first experience of facing off against a large group of people, yet he remained composed and fearless.
As Zane faced off against numerous opponents, one of them suddenly took out a glinting blade from his pocket. He rushed towards Zane with the weapon in hand.Cedric's eyes widened with shock as he watched one of the thugs pull out a small knife from his pocket. In a swift, menacing motion, the thug charged forward with the knife pointed directly at Zane's back."Master!" Cedric yelled out from the car, his voice full of urgency. There was no time to intervene; the attack was happening far too quickly. However, Zane, empowered with heightened senses from his cultivation training, was acutely aware of his surroundings. As the knife-wielding thug crept up from behind, he was simultaneously being attacked by two other assailants from the front.Zane moved swiftly and with agility, using the two assailants in front of him as a pivot point and grabbing each of their heads firmly. In one powerful movement, he jumped away from them, his hands bringing the sides of their heads together with a loud thud.At the exact same moment, the thug with the knife failed to reach Zane.Unfortunately, the result was an unintended consequence: he had stabbed one
Under the dim, illuminating streetlights, a man dressed in a luxurious suit stepped out of his sleek car. His blonde hair glimmered in the faint light, and he leaned against the side of his car with a relaxed yet authoritative air. His eyes, sharp and discerning, were fixed on Zane, and a sly smile tugged at the corners of his lips. The sound of slow, mocking applause reverberated through the quiet street. Zane Gardner stood his ground, his wary gaze fixed on the uninvited stranger. A rich voice, full of sarcasm, spoke up. "Hahaha, what an incredible display of combat, Mr. Gardner." Zane's suspicions were correct - this man had to be behind the attack. His voice remained composed as he asked, "So, you were the one who sent them? And who might you be?" The stranger's grin grew wider and he nonchalantly leaned against a nearby car, crossing his legs. "Ah, it seems my initial assessment of you was spot on. I am a well-known figure among the wealthy elite of this city, yet somehow you
As Zane's eagerness and interest in the mysteries of cultivation intensified, he allocated more and more of his time to meditating. His enthusiasm to test out his newfound abilities flourished and he persistently asked Cedric to test his senses, in the hope of sensing the energy running through his veins. That was why Cedric several times intentionally attacked or threw small daggers or other items at Zane, when Zane was not paying attention to him. However, Zane always managed to evade the strikes.Cedric, in a sudden burst of energy, threw a small object, possibly a dagger, several times at Zane. However, Zane was able to skillfully dodge each one.Zane, having just barely evaded the sudden attack, breathed a sigh of relief as Cedric stepped out from behind the trees. The oppressive air that had been present had been replaced by an atmosphere of companionship and admiration.“Master, I was surprised to see your cultivation level rise so dramatically in such a short period of time,”
The gentle rays of the morning sun shone through the curtains of Zane's bedroom, illuminating the room with its warm light and gently stirring him from his slumber. He stretched his arms wide, feeling a deep satisfaction course through him. The demanding and strenuous training he had done throughout the past week had left him feeling fulfilled and content.Zane made his way to the bathroom, shedding his clothes and easing himself into a bathtub filled with warm water. The heat embraced him in a comforting cocoon and he murmured in delight, "Ah...so comforting!" A contented sigh escaped his lips as he luxuriated in the soothing warmth. He allowed himself to sink deeper into the water, feeling the tension in his muscles slowly melt away and his blood circulation improve with the comforting heat. After some time, he emerged from the bath, ready for the day ahead. As he stepped outside, he found Cedric waiting for him by the car."Hello, Master," Cedric greeted him warmly with his usual r

Zane's astute observation of Marcus's condition, particularly his blocked Qi flow, was an impressive display of his highly developed cultivation skills.Recognizing an opportunity to showcase his capabilities and possibly bridge the divide caused by Marcus's mistrust, Zane proposed a solution that left everyone astonished.“Mr. Marcus,” Zane spoke, his voice was composed. “Would you like to give my treatment a try?”His suggestion, articulated with an aura of assurance and honesty, instantly redirected the attention of the room.Zane's sudden proposal shifted everyone's attention to him, and Marcus was taken aback. "Prepare yourself. This could cause an uncomfortable sensation."His warning conveyed the earnestness with which he was approaching the treatment.Despite being silent, Marcus was unable to entirely conceal the anxiousness that was growing within him.
