Chapter 28: Mr. Hidalgo
"Urgh! My head hurts."

Catherine let out a weak voice, barely more than a whisper. As she regained consciousness, her eyelids began to open, slowly regaining her vision.

Her head felt heavy, and pain was circulating around her body.

Struggling to manage to sit up, she immediately held onto her head, which seemed to have a weird, big weight, as if she were carrying an invisible, heavy load on her head.

The small effect of the drug was still there, soon to completely fade away.

"How come I'm in such a mess?" She questioned herself, trying to think.

Suddenly, images started to pour into her head in a rush of what happened—how she found her way to the bar and began to get herself drunk—only for a strange sensation to take partial control of her body, and then she passed out in the process.

What she remembered again was waking up and shockingly seeing Thomas's face, and then she began to suffer under that beast's hand because she didn't cooperate before she passed out again.
