Chapter 164 Eleanor cried

Jerome pulled Eleanor close, then stepped back and took a deep breath. He was just about to speak when the old couple walked into the room. The old lady saw Jerome's mouth open, about to say something, and she shook her head, signaling him to stay silent. But Jerome only returned her look with a reassuring gaze as if to tell her, everything was under his control.

Holding Eleanor's hand in a reassuring grip, Jerome spoke in a gentle voice. "It's not a big deal. Just tell me what you remember, and I'll fill in the rest from there." He wanted her to feel safe and supported, no matter what she remembered.

Eleanor tried hard to remember something, anything, but all she could see was a blur.
