Third person POV

Tyler took fast and impatient strode towards his car. Some soldiers stood at attention, and saluted at him immediately they saw him.

"Welcome, General" they greeted in unison.

Tyler simply nodded in response. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, then sighed with a relieved smile.

"I can't wait to reunite with my family. I'm finally done with the war. I've missed them so much, and these three years have been hell without them," he said to no one in particular, but one of the soldiers replied to him anyway.

"Yeah, it's been a long time, General" the soldier chipped in. "Don't forget to call us if you need our help; we're always at your service, General," the soldiers nodded in agreement.

Tyler reached forward and held the soldier's shoulder, squeezed it reassuringly and nodded his head. Before getting into the car, he waved at them, then ordered the driver to drive off.

Arianna rushed inside the house, sweating profusely. She glanced at her daughter, Julianna, who was sluggishly packing her clothes.

"You're being too sluggish, Juliana, we must leave here fast. You need to hurry because we are running out of time," Ariana yelled.

"I am trying my best, Mom," Julianna replied as Arianna looked around anxiously to ensure no one was coming.

"And why do we have to run away at this time, mummy? It's dark everywhere," Julianna asked.

Ariana didn't say anything, but instead, she moved closer to Julianna and pulled her along.

"I don't think we'll need any of those. Let's just get out of here," she said, and they both hurried past a corner.

Arianna heard approaching footsteps while running with her daughter, she sensed they had been caught.

Acting swiftly, she pushed her daughter into a dark corner, positioning herself as a shield. She was keenly aware that if they caught sight of her, they would likely use her daughter as a hostage.

Determined to shield her child from harm, she resolved to protect her daughter at all costs.

"Mummy, why do you have to hide me? Let's keep running before they get here," Julianna panicked.

"No, please just hide. I'm the one they need. You just need to hide, don't come out. Please, don't come out no matter what!" Arianna replied. Julianna hesitantly nodded her head before shoving herself further into the darkness.

The pursuers finally came to a halt in front of Julianna. A man, exuding power and wealth from his attire, approached Arianna. He was the butler for the eldest master of the Fredrick family, the second-richest family in the city.

The Fredrick family held significant power in the city. Their second child held a high-ranking position as the second in command in the army, while the eldest child was known as one of the wealthiest men in the city.

The butler glared at Arianna through narrowed eyes as he took threatening steps towards her.

"How dare you!" He bellowed, delivering a resounding slap to her face. "How dare you attempt to flee without surrendering your cornea to the eldest master?"

"I already said it before, that I am not going to give him my cornea...not even in my death," she stammered.

For some reasons, the butler found her words funny as he burst out laughing and proceeded to kick her, causing her to fall to her knees.

"Listen, you know you don't have a choice in this matter. We've been tracking this for three years, and your cornea is the only match for his" he paused for a moment, his arms folded on his chest. "You're cornered, Arianna." His voice held a sinister edge as he spoke those words.

"Please" Arianna shook her head helplessly. "Please, I can't...I can't do it," she pleaded, her voice trembling.

"Do you even think you have a choice?" he scoffed. "You're just a slut," he spat out, his words laced with contempt.

"I can't do this, please..." She begged again, desperation swallowed her whole frame.

"Hold on a moment...do you still think you are something special?" he chuckled lightly. "In your dreams, Arianna, you're nothing but a piece of rag. Your so called husband left you three years ago, and now, you have no choice but to follow our orders because the only person who can help you has vanished," the butler stated coldly.

Arianna shook her head in disagreement, hot tears brimmed her eyes and she couldn't help but hold them back to conceal her fear.

“You two, take her to the car. I'm done dealing with her,” he ordered, his tone dismissive.

Two armed men swiftly approached her, and despite her attempts to resist, they delivered a harsh slap to her face. With a firm grip, they seized her hand and forcefully dragged her toward their waiting vehicle.

Julianna's heart pounded in her chest as she darted out of her hiding spot, her breath coming in rapid gasps. Panic surged through her veins as she watched in horror as the men forcefully dragged her mother toward the waiting vehicle. Frantically, she reached out for her, pleading for them to stop, but it was too late. The engine roared to life, and the vehicle lurched forward, carrying her mother away, leaving Julianna standing alone in the empty street, tears streaming down her face.

Juliana's steps were heavy and slow as she trudged back home, tears blurring her vision and her heart heavy with uncertainty.

As she reached her doorstep, she sank down onto the cold ground, her hand pressed against her trembling lips as sobs wracked her body. The anguish of not knowing what to do or where to turn consumed her, leaving her feeling utterly alone in her despair.

"What am I going to do now?" she asked herself, deep in thought as a car drove into their compound and a man came down from the car. Julianna raised her head to see whose car it was, hoping maybe God had finally heard her prayer and brought her mother back to her. However, it was not what she was expecting.

"Julianna!" A man called with a warm smile, catching her by surprise. Julianna hastily wiped her tears with the back of her hand.

"Am I seeing things?" She asked through tears, disbelief evident in her voice as the man shook his head in denial.

"No, my love, your father is back!" He said, his voice filled with emotion as he opened his arms wide for Julianna to come into them. She couldn't believe she was finally seeing her father after three long years. Instead of Julianna embracing him, she burst into tears, overwhelmed by a flood of emotions.

"What's going on? Aren't you happy to see me?" Tyler asked, confusion etched on his face. "You should be happy, sweetie. I won the war; I'm a general now!" He exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood.

"They left with mother," Julianna said, and the car key fell from Tyler's hand.

"What do you mean? Who took her? Who took my wife?" Tyler asked.

"The Wilson family, with firm determination, forcibly took her away with them," she replied. Tyler couldn't believe his ears.

"The Wilson family? What do they want from her?" Tyler asked.

"They want her cornea. They want to use her cornea for their eldest child. They have been disturbing my mom for the past three years, and they came to take her today. They took mummy away. Please save mummy. I don't know if they're going to kill her. Save her, please!" Tyler clenched his fist angrily before pulling his phone out of his pocket. He dialed a number before bringing it closer to his ear.

"General," the receiver from the other end said.
