One of the soldiers, Clinton, had been on patrol duty the time Alex and his wife went to shop, walking down the bustling streets of the city, when he spotted Alex and his wife, Janet, entering a high-end boutique. Clinton's curiosity was piqued, and he decided to follow them, observing from a distance as they browsed through the racks of designer clothes and expensive accessories.

As Alex and Janet continued to shop, Clinton noticed that they seemed to be buying everything in sight, their arms loaded with bags and packages. Clinton's mind began to race with questions - where did Alex get the money to afford all of this? He knew that Alex was a frugal person, always careful with his finances, so this sudden spending spree seemed out of character.

Clinton's suspicions were further aroused when he recalled the look on Alex's face during the general's recent speech about the missing documents. Alex had seemed nervous and on edge, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for an esc
