Matthew stood up from his seat, his movements deliberate and cautious. He walked silently towards the door, his eyes fixed on the peephole. He leaned in, his face inches from the small circular lens, and peered through the hole. For a fleeting moment, Judas lost track of Matthew's intentions.

"I just have to check if the boy is still in," Matthew explained, his voice low and measured, as he continued to scan the other side of the door.

"Of course, he should be in," Judas replied, his tone matter-of-fact, but laced with a hint of curiosity.
