Derrick left Ruby's study room and went into his own room. A while later, Ruby came back and entered into her study room and Derrick could see and hear her from his phone.

Derrick held his breath as he saw Ruby enter the study. He watched as she paced around the room, her face filled with worry and concern. He listened intently as she spoke to someone on the phone, her voice low and hushed.

"I don't know what to do," she said, sounding desperate. "This is all so much bigger than I thought."

She went on to talk about a plan, something that sounded dangerous and risky. Derrick's heart was pounding, and he felt like he might be sick. What was she getting herself into?
