His day started quite normal, if I might say so. Almost as normal as the previous ones, even too normal as of fact. Living in this changing canvass of weather and foliage, of birdsong and playful wind, even the subtle shifted in light, patterns brought interest for the eye. The weather had been so warm in the past recent days, the air so velvety on the skin that I had began to imagine what life on paradise would have felt like. Clouds drifted by on the most relaxed of breezes, helping the eyes to appreciate the bluebird sky all the more. The rain, when it came, alighted as softly as the shoes of a ballet dancer, adorning and rejuvenating the only stage that matters. Almost as if some heavenly divine creature had sprinkled down some magic powder to sooth the village and pardon with a not of relief as to the plague and other misfortune that had tragically struck. It was a spa from the time the light filters over the hills until it too takes its rest. Pleasing and mesmerizing. On the d
Nathan thought for a long while, but he finally decided. There's a reason love is invisible, undetectable with anything but our minds. We aren't evolved enough to be trusted with it. We'd try to engineer it, alter it, use it, weaponize it. Aren't there always great reasons to do immoral acts? Or are they excuses to allow us to follow our more basic desire for dominance? Power addiction is always the wrong route to escape fear. The only way to understand love is to feel it, embody it, embrace it. The power of love will always be greater than any other and the keys to reality will only ever be given to true students of the only master. He would loved Doris, his wife no matter what. Every baby is born to seek love and that makes love the default setting, the basic operating system, of every human mind. That's why we're all good underneath no matter what cultural or religious operating systems are laid over the top. That's why there is no truer language than the language of love and no
Doris was busy listening to the podcast in the TV, and their topic was rather intriguing. "Social health took a big jump when the cross-over advocacy groups began... groups of men dedicated to the health of women," the woman on the TV began to talk with a serious look plastered on her face. "groups of women dedicated to the health of men, faith groups supported or defended each other rather than themselves. It was when the rich formed groups dedicated to helping the poor, when the adults formed groups to promote play and sport for children. It was when the childless formed groups to support new parents and ensure their needs were met. It was a time when people learned anew how good it feels to support others instead of campaigning for the self. It brought feels of protectiveness and experience as a noble defender rather than exaggerating feelings of struggle and isolation - people started to feel loved and valued... it changed everything." Doris was rather amused by the news. "Soc
Tori paused, her mind drifting away. There is no perfect lover, we are all flawed, but knowing those flaws and still loving with all your heart creates perfect love. I will never look further than you, my love. If my heart is a flower waiting to bloom, your love is the only sunshine it needs. Don't tell me who I can and cannot love. Don't put limits on what is or is not appropriate. Take the shackles off love. It does not know geographical or religious boundary, it cannot be confined within one race or culture. I can love the whole world, I can love any person of any age, gender and background. Love flies on indestructible wings and I am blessed to feel it running through my veins. When it feels hardest to give love, it is the most important moment to give without measure. "I think therefore I am" is such intelligence in so few words, yet in this age of A.I. we have changed it. Now we use "I love therefore I am." We can augment reality to the degree that anything you see, hear, do
When the chance to connect comes, when I see my holy grail, the monster appears to tell me that pain is ahead. Thus the chasm I see is the mirage fear creates, my future is a step beyond, one stride. And as I take it all the while the monster speaks of betrayal, abandonment and the worst of memories. I know that when the sun rises tomorrow I will be glad I endured, that I landed safe and sound on virgin hallowed ground. I swallow my own fear to expand the safe zone of others, to become the stoic leader they deserve. His fear of loss is proof of my love for you, on that you can depend. The curse is the blessing as the blessing is the curse. Love is tough, but I'm tough enough. Fear is natural and there to keep you alive and happy, yet where it has been weaponised and fashioned into a cage, one is honour bound to break free. When we become great teachers of emotional intelligence we will delete the alt-right. When we explain how their new linguistics is acting as an catalyst for emot
Nathan and Trevor were together. Every emotion is okay, helpful in the right situation. The dark emotions are like salt, just a pinch adds flavour, yet too much ruins the entire dish. Envy can be motivation to better the self, when combined with being a good sport and wanting what is best for others, it can bring positive results. A pinch of hate toward an abuser can lead to freedom and a positive life with one who truly loves in the protective and nurturing way. A pinch of greed can help you to hang on to things you need for yourself or loved ones in your care. The trick of it all is to remember what is salt and what is food; the food is love, empathy, kindness, joy, compassion, nurture, protection, integrity... the salt is envy, hate, greed, anger, sloth... If you have vastly more food than salt, everything will be alright. The opposite of love ain't hate, that's just a warped version of love itself, one that uses the same bit of the brain. Hate tells that once there was love and
Stealing is such an old fashioned word; it's so tied up with notions of property and ownership. But who owns what? Nathan knew that! People who paid money? What's money? It used to be gold but what is it now? Digits! Digits that are created at the touch of a button! And what do we all do? We slave for them, ruin the most productive years of our lives chasing them, some kill from them, degrade their humanity for them. What do laws matter if some have the power to create money and others do not? How can the common man compete with the elite of Wall Street? So I don't care what the dictionary says; I don't care what the cops say. Stealing is when people who are educated enough to know better abuse their superior education to maintain an unfair system - keeping themselves at the top and Walmart employees living in motel rooms with their kids. It's worse than feudal England, at least then they were honest about wielding the power. So I hack, I take, I siphon off those electronic numbers an
There comes a time when "pushing" one's ideas that could save our world becomes morally the right thing to do. And so, if you have the time, I urge you to read my book, "Nexus. A Treatise in Defence of Love as Mankind's Answer," so that we can rescue each other and our planet from the trouble of our current era. There is a link to a free version and a Kindle version from my bio (bio-link below). Since ye olde times, since times of yore, the morally bankrupt have sort to capitalise on hate. From our trauma populations come the natural healers of society, our artists of words, sound, dance and image. For this is what happens when mental pain hits fever pitch, when the community needs to find love, togetherness and re-bond. It's how we come back to sustainability, to love of nature and one another. A dysfunctional world is a torture to its children. Yet the solutions are simple. Millions, likely billions, would gladly spend their lives in joyful service, working toward making a healthy
