"It's just how things work out, right? I mean, what can we do?"

Doris was saying to the blonde lady beside her in the restaurant, cups of hot coffee sitting before them.

Tori frowned slightly, her fine face contorted into a befuddled glare. "So, you're just going to divorce him?" She asked, raising a brow.

Doris thought for a while. "Well, I don't know. Maybe?"

"Are you asking me that, really? Don't you love your husband any more?"

"I do. I mean... I think I do. We, uh... We've decided to keep things on a low. Like a pause."

There it was again. Another frown on Tori's face. "You would stop the jolly relationship with a pause?"

"Jolly?" She scoffed at the sound of the word. "It's not jolly anymore, Tori--uh, I mean, Ms Tori, or Lawyers?... I'm sorry,"

"It's fine. Really, just call me Tori." She gave a warm smile.

"Can I tell you a secret?" Doris said, chuckling.

"Sure." Her eyes lit up in amusement. More like in anticipation.

"I think I still love him." She was grinning wildly
