Doris sat by Nathan in the hospital. He looked less pale than he did a few days ago, and the doctor said it meant he was recovering but it still wasn't enough for her.

She missed having meaningless conversations with her significant other, not this one sided sad talks she was doing.

"Hey babe, how are you?" She asked, like she had been doing everyday for the past week. "Anne came over earlier to take Williams." Doris was in no condition to care for a child so Anne would visit in the morning to take him and she would bring him back in the afternoon after she had fed him and gave him a change of clothes.

"When are you going to wake up? Hmm….I miss you…" her voice croaked up as fresh tears began streaming down her face. "I need you Nathan."

The doctor said staying with him and constantly talking to him would speed up his recovery and she tried to do so, everyday…but it was very painful for her.
