chapter 246

The stranger stood by a lamppost outside of Madame Laura's boutique with a smoke in his hand, waiting on Evelyn's arrival.

He took the cigarette to his mouth and inhaled then let out a puff of satisfaction.

As soon as he sighted them exiting the boutique, he threw the cigarette to the ground and step on it, turning it off. He pocketed his hands in his hoodie and strolled casually towards Evelyn and Doris.

The black hood covered almost half of his face, making his identify anonymous to people and as soon as he got to them, he hijacked the bags from Doris.

"Hey!" Doris yelled out.

"This is your mother's fault." He said in a somehow forced, deepened voice.

After littering the floor with their belongings, he scaped through the crowd that surrounded him as Doris cried for help.

The atmosphere in the car was heated up by the anger that consumed Doris as they drove off, Evelyn had to open the windows just so she could breathe.
