CO-OPERATION

Helen brought Alexander inside the house. When they entered the living room, they saw Mr. Baker, Helen's father, already seated and patiently waiting. Without paying much attention to Mr. Baker, Alexander simply found a seat for himself. Mr. Baker didn't like Alexander's attitude and was unhappy with it, but he decided to tolerate it because he had a plan in mind.

Mr. Baker greeted Alexander, saying, "Welcome to my humble home, Alexander," without sounding overly humble or dominant.

However, Alexander being his usual self, responded, "If this place is a humble home, then I must be living in a trash can."

Mr. Baker felt embarrassed by Alexander's comment, but Alexander didn't seem to care. Getting straight to the point, he asked, "What do you want?"
