Misunderstanding

“Ray? Ray?!!” He rubbed his eyes sleepily and sat up. The shoe hit his window again and he got out of bed.

“Ray!”

The whisper sounded a lot like Elsa. What was she doing out there in the middle of the night? He pushed his window open and she climbed in.

“What were you doing out there? It's past midnight,” he whispered, helping her into the room. He frowned when he realized she reeked of alcohol. “where did you go, El?”

Elsa stared at him for almost a minute before giggling.

“What? I asked a question.”

“You should see your face,” she giggled, but he didn't find the action amusing. “Fine, fine, you're no fun,” she drawled, pushing past him. “I went to the local pub… my friends were having fun so I decided to join in.”

”What friends? You told me you had no friends,” he stated.

“I told you I have no female friends. They don't like me because I have a certain charm… I draw their men in…” Sue slurred, staggering to his bed.
