After the event saga, Edgar hired a private investigator to dig into Ray's sudden display of wealth but to his greatest disappointment, they found nothing.

His mind deflected to the possibility of Ray being the Delamonte heir but when he remembered that the actual heir was long buried, he rebuffed the thought.
