Zade noticed Elsa’s mood when she returned from the mall. Something must have happened at the mall.

“Why are you pissed?” He asked her.

“What makes you think I'm pissed?” Elsa returned the question.

“Your chopped carrots are flying all over.”

Elsa dropped the knife off the chopping board. “Well since you asked, I saw your ex in the mall. today and she wouldn't shut up about how much you pampered her in high school.”

Zade was tempted to laugh but he knew Elsa wouldn't appreciate it.

“She said all this to you at the mall?” He asked.

“Yes. She said you cooked for her, wouldn't let her come near the kitchen, and all that nonsense. I didn't even care about it, you know, but why didn't she feel the need to share all that information? I know the man I married. He loves cooking. I don't need her to lecture me,” Elsa stated.
