CHAPTER FORTY-NINE

Two days after the restaurant incident, and finally over Adrien’s teasing, and to his chagrin and surprise, Raul as well, Adam had decided to come see Louisa’s old man, he hadn't seen him since he got out of prison.

He leaned back on the tattered chair as he surveyed the room he was currently in, the living room was quite bare, safe for a few furniture and a small TV, as well as a worn-out fan that creaked each time it moved.

He couldn't believe the living conditions of Gerald Martins, aka Jerry, now that his daughter was in money, and with Williams flaunting his wealth in their faces by helping them out, he wondered why Jerry’s case was different.

Jerry had gone in a while ago, giving Adam ample time to glance around the apartment, he soon heard Jerry’s footsteps and straightened himself up in his seat.
