The Return of Adam Sanders

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED & EIGHTY

Leaving the Winston’s mansion, Adam placed a call to Vance to confirm their appointment with his contact concerning the herbs,

“Vance? What's the update with your source, the one in Leed City?”

He could hear Vance sigh over the phone, and he imagined the big burly bully creasing his forehead as he did,

“It's a dead end”

Vance replied over the phone, at his end, Vance had his fist and jaw clenched tightly; he had been looking forward to Adam meeting the lady, she would have served as a good rival for the saucy Amber, he tsked and rolled his eyes.

Adam sighed as well, but one thing he was thankful for was that he at least had Mira’s contact, although he still couldn't shake the feeling that it was probably the same contact as Vance’s own,

“That’s fine, I have another contact, so I'll be in touch”

Not hearing Vance’s vague reply over the phone, he cut the call as he walked away, cursing himself for not taking a car to take him to the restaurant, he was stuck with taking a taxi once more
