Adam's confusion was palpable as he stared at Vance, his brow furrowed,

"What do you mean by that? What revenge?"

Vance smiled slyly. "I know more about you than you think, Adam."

Adam arched his brow, intrigued yet wary. "Explain yourself."

Vance's smile widened, a spark of cunning alight in his eyes,

"When you killed my father, I made it my mission to learn everything about you, Adam. Everything."

Adam's stance stiffened, and the air around him charged with a sudden tension. He leaned forward, interest piqued despite himself.

"Go on,"

He said, his voice a low growl of curiosity and suspicion, his eyes squinting as he stared at him,

"I delved deep,"

Vance continued, his voice smooth, almost smug,

"Using my networks, I uncovered your past. From your lonely beginnings in the Sander’s home to the injustices that led you to jail. And most importantly, of your true background and heritage"
