Heaving with rage and desperation, Adam’s body trembled all over after he had brought everything on his table crashing, tumbling and flying down. He couldn't wrap the thought around his head, how could someone be willing to sell an innocent child of about three years, sell that child to what benefit and to what gain? “What do you mean?” Adrien finally found his voice and spoke up “Exactly what you heard, I'm going to give Bates an offer he can't refuse for his company, and I’ll be using someone else to make the offer. Bates wouldn't trace it to me, I'm not even a thought that would cross his mind in that regard, and that is to my advantage.” Adam sneered and winked at his friend, crossing his arms, Adrien nodded his head before leaning forward to ask, “That’s true though. Who might that be? Raul?” Adam gave a loud snort and chuckled “Raul hates the sight of that fool, in as much as it might please him to destroy Bates, he's not the one. I'm using someone I had a one-time encounter with but never forgot, from my investigations I believe the fellow has a history with Bates and would be more than willing to help out” “I hear you, but one thing comes to mind. If you do buy the company, you might end up enriching Bates’ pocket and that isn't what we want, or what do you intend to do about that?”

Logan’s car was bad, and with no money to fix it and Williams’ blunt refusal to help, he had no choice but to resort to public means of transportation. He had been at the bus stop awaiting his bus when he sighted Adam. Adam wasn't dressed in a tattered manner or shabbily and it had Logan a little confused. They had been unable to discover the bastard’s new location, it was surprising when they got word from someone they had sent to threaten Adam’s family that the house was empty, they still had no clue where he could be found. His phone vibrated in his pocket and he quickly brought it out and placed it on his ear, answering the call “Where's the fool now!? Hope you haven't lost sight of him?! Still staring emotionlessly at the burly man, Adam waited for his reply. He had an inkling about what was happening but chose to remain calm and mute, wanting to see how it would play out. Frowning, the man narrowed his eyes at him before he responded in a challenging tone, “Orders from above, or do you have anything to do about it?” With his hands still placed in his pocket, Adam shook his head, and shrugged once again, “I would like to speak with the person in charge. I do not have the time for this” The man sneered once more, tipping his head back, he answered with a bark of laughter, “The orders came from the person in charge, how about that?” Adam’s mouth twitched at the side, it was a pity the fool standing before him didn't know who he was, and was just overly carrying out the instructions given to him; if he wanted to, he could have the guy stripped of his job and buy the company leaving both him and his supposed person in charge jobless. Chagrined to see their partners out of sorts, the other guys bared their teeth and charged at Adam. Adam deftly dealt a bone-crushing blow to their faces, causing them to fall to the ground, disoriented and blood dripping from their nostrils. Williams, Logan and the security man who had intercepted Adam were all transfixed, their eyes bulging in their sockets with their bodies unable to move as they watched in horror. The security man was aghast within him, he couldn't believe that the person he had tried intimidating was solely taking on five men who were his size and a little bigger. With the four of his colleagues writhing and squirming on the floor, the one who had been run into, picked up the machete beside him and hurled it at Adam. Looking around to find out who had spoken, everyone’s attention fell on the man who had spoken and was dressed splendidly. He disregarded their curious gaze as he walked towards Adam. At Williams' and Logan’s departure, everyone cheered and began to disperse, leaving only Adam, Adrien, Candance and Frank, as well as the taxi man who was hoping to get his fare money from Adam, seeing as Williams didn't pay him. The burly security man stood as well, transfixed at the entire situation, just by following orders, he would have been in trouble or would have ended up like the three men whom the man had beaten up. A part of him was grateful for the arrival of Williams and his goons, if they hadn't arrived, he probably would have gotten the beating of his life, and he shuddered at that thought.
