Williams’ eyebrows pinched together, and he shuffled on his feet, swallowing loudly once more he pulled out the golden envelope from his pocket and handed it over to Marcus, his hands trembling as he did Marcus looked the envelope over, and without opening it, he faced the security beside him and instructed him“Get Martins for me this minute” the security bowed and hurried to go call the man in question. Looking at the phone in his hand, the call vibrated synching with his already trembling hand. He wouldn't dare pick up the call for his sanity. Swallowing loudly, he tossed the phone to the passenger seat beside his tie and ignited the engine of the car, reversing from the venue and cursing them as he did. A few days after the event, Adam sat in his office, on the topmost floor of Raine’s conglomerate head office, the office was made of glass, and Adam could view the city from his office, he had a personal balcony of his own, even a small lounge he could use to entertain visitors, as well as a room, kitchenette and a full-on bathroom and toilet with a small walk-in closet.
