CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED & EIGHTY
Old Man Thompson could feel Adam's rage and knew it could get worse with Dreymond ending up hurt if he didn't dare interfere, and if that happened, it could ruin all the progress that had been made thus far,

Without hesitating, he stepped in front of Adam, placing himself between him and Dreymond, blocking him from advancing further to the latter.

He gave Adam a curt nod, and then shook his head briefly, before glancing backwards at Dreymond who had the decency to lower his head,

“Pay him no attention,”

He told Adam who was beginning to pant heavily while looking over the Old Man's shoulder at Dreymond, his hands clenched and unclenched while he stared. To try to calm himself, he closed his eyes and released a deep breath,

Opening his eyes, Adam calmly stared at Old Man Thompson, focusing his gaze on him before finally raising his head to give Dreymond a final glare, the latter got the subtle message, and he nodded crisply, expelling a breath he never knew he held.
