“Yes Sis, Yes!” Joan said excitedly as she felt her sister had forgiven her,

Leila took her swell time before responding, and then smiled,

“Then you have to apologise to Adam.”

She said, and Joan dropped her hands abruptly as soon as she mentioned Adam.

“Really, sis, really?” Joan asked with blazing eyes, as she retracted her steps away from her sister.

“You are really going to make this about him?” Joan asked, still glaring at her, almost fuming,

“Yes Joan, this is indeed about him.” Leila retorted, and turned back to the mirror,

“You disrespected, insulted and accused an innocent man of being a paedophile. Do you know the implications of that?”

Leila demanded, slamming the brush in her hand onto the table; standing up, she walked towards Joan, who stood shaking from foot to foot, with creased brows, not knowing what to reply to her or even say.

Leila knew Joan hated Adam and was not willing to apologise to him, but she knew she had to make her sister do what was right,
