CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED & NINE

Cecil and her son rummaged through the woods and found their way to the border bank, they had almost lost their breath and were thirsty and dehydrated. They had been running for hours and had finally come to a stop and tried to catch their breath.

They got to a spot and sat down to get some rest.

“What do we do now?”

Logan asked his mother while trying to catch his breath, bending over and heaving,

“They are going to come after me.” He added fearfully as his voice cracked.

“Relax, son.”

Cecil said, patting his back while her brain churned,

“What is important right now is how we can get out of here.” She replied, trying to calm him down.

“They might not even survive the wrath of Adam.” She added and winced at the thought of what the bastard could do.

“He might have killed them all and wiped them all out.” She said with a mischievous smile as she continued to try and convince him.

“What if he doesn’t?” He retorted and shrugged his mother’s hands off his shoulders.
