CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE

Adam was lying on the bed, staring at the bookshelves in the room. He hated being bedridden, but he knew he did not have a choice; he didn’t mind getting out of there, but he knew the old man would be against that, and he didn’t want to go against Old Man Thompson.

Immediately, the door swung open, he turned around immediately as he felt the footsteps running fast towards his bed.

“Daddy.”

Ariel screamed out loud as she ran towards her dad’s bed, Adam got out of the bed immediately as he saw his daughter approaching. He spread out his arms widely to receive her for a warm hug.

“I’ve missed you, daddy.” Ariel joyously declared as she sunk into her father’s arms as fast as she could,

“I’ve missed you too.”

He said quickly, almost squealing as he watched with an incredulous look,

“What are you doing here?” He asked her immediately, and she raised her head to make sure she was his real daughter.
