In a few minutes, she came out with two glasses of water in her hands and handed one over to her mother and the order to her brother.

“None for me?”

He was holding the baby while sitting on the couch, he didn't like being excluded,

“Suit yourself, William.” She retorted to her estranged husband with scorn, without sparing him a glance.

“So Logan, how did it go?”

“Was it a success? I'm guessing it was hectic, but still a success. Right?”

She fished out again, going to sit beside a stiff Cecil once more, oblivious to the rising and lowering of Logan's chest, nor to his flaring nostrils, Cecil on the other hand fiddled with her fingers, muttering swears beneath her breath,
