CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED & NINETY-EIGHT

Adam walked towards his daughter’s bed and stared at her, his eyes almost melting from the innocence in her eyes. She looked very skinny and pale but that didn’t matter, she was awake and lucid, and that was all that mattered,

“She’d get herself back.” He thought to himself.

He walked to her bed and sat down right in front of her, her eyes were a little weary as she gazed at him, and his heart broke a little to see, he hadn't seen her in so long and wondered if she'd recognize him or what she thought of him, he felt a pang in his heart as he gazed at her,

“Da…daddy?”

Ariel called out with tears in her eyes, with his throat clogged up, Adam could only manage a nod of his head and covered the distance between them as he wrapped her up in an embrace so tight, his hands quivered,

“I've missed you baby" he informed her with tears rolling down his face, he could also feel warm tears on his skin, he didn't want to know if it was his kr Ariel’s, as he held on to her tightly, afraid to let her
