Quincy managed to keep his composure when Kohler asked of her daughter, but he didn’t respond for a while as he thought of what to say.

Not like he feared them, but he knew because they didn’t like him, they could easily issue a report against him, saying he had done something to his wife. While he would obviously be able to bail himself out, it would only be an unnecessary hassle for him.

“She decided to stay back, as she isn’t feeling too well. Gone through stress, lately.”

“Oh, really? You’re not the man for her. You keep making her go through stress. By the way, she has to be here.”

“Then we can have the discussion when she is better,” Quincy suggested, with a firm look.

“When she is better? I need to see her right now. She has not been answering my calls, since last night. I need to know she is okay.” Kohler’s mother insisted, and then her father walked in.
