chapter 63

Quincy's eyes fluttered open, and he felt the dart still poking his neck. He took in a deep breath and took out the dart. Dried blood stuck to it, and he looked at it before pocketing it. He would find a way to deal with whoever had planned such for him.

Groggily taking in his surroundings, he discovered that someone had placed him in his car, or perhaps it was the same person who had fired the dart. Was he still in danger?

CRUNCH!

The sound was loud, sharp, and sudden, and Quincy's eyes darted upwards with his heart swelling with each beat it took.

It was his car, but it was destined for destruction. Quincy dashed to the window and pushed. The doors were locked, and he hit the glass and wondered if his armored glass— which he had fixed out of a strong urge for protection— would be the death of him.

The walls of the car press closed in around him with loud groans as the metal tried to resist his face. Quincy dipped lower, as the metal came closer to his head. Panic set in as he f
